Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of the tui-na treatment of cervical vertigo by the method of warming the meridians and toning the governors through clinical research.Methods:Sixty-eight patients with cervical vertigo who attended the outpatient clinic of the Department of Tui-Na of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and met the inclusion criteria were selected for this study,from January 2022 to December 2022.Using the random number table method,the patients were divided into the warming and tonifying tui-na group and the conventional tui-na group,with34 cases in each group.The observation group,i.e.,the warming and tonifying tui-na group,was treated with the warming and tonifying tui-na method;the control group,i.e.,the conventional tui-na group,was treated with the conventional tui-na method.The whole manipulation treatment was 2courses of treatment,4 times a week,and 2 weeks was a course of treatment.The scores of cervical vertigo symptoms and functional assessment scale were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results: 1.Before treatment,there was no statistical difference in the scores of gender,age,vertigo,shoulder and neck pain,headache,daily life and work,psychological and social adjustment ability between the two groups(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable.After treatment,the overall efficacy of the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05)compared with that of the conventional massage group,and the total effective rate was91.1% and 73.5% in the warming and toning massage group and the conventional massage group,respectively.3.ESCV scores within the groups: After two courses of treatment,the total ESCV scores of 39.16±3.91 in the Wenzheng Tongdu Tuina group and36.13±4.30 in the conventional Tuina group;in addition,the ESCV scores of vertigo,shoulder and neck pain,headache,daily life and work,psychological and social adjustment ability in both groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.01).In addition,the ESCV scores of vertigo,shoulder and neck pain,headache,daily life and work,and psychological and social adjustment ability in the ESCV scales of both groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P < 0.01);ESCV scores between groups: after two courses of treatment,the total ESCV scores of the Wenzheng Tongdu Tuina group were significantly better than those of the conventional Tuina group(P < 0.01).","headache","daily life and work",and "psychological and social adjustment" were better than those of the conventional massage group.In terms of the frequency and duration of vertigo,the score of the group was 5.74±1.31 after two courses of treatment,compared with 5.03 ± 1.14 in the conventional massage group,with a significant difference(P<0.01).In terms of headache,1.74 ± 0.44 in the Wenzheng Tongdu Tuina group showed significant improvement compared with 1.49±0.46 in the conventional Tuina group(P<0.05);in terms of daily life and work,3.57 ± 0.42 in the Wenzheng Tongdu Tuina group showed significant improvement compared with 3.29±0.57 in the conventional Tuina group(P<0.05);in terms of psychological and social adaptation,18.26±1.71 in the Wenzheng Tongdu Tuina group showed significant improvement compared with 3.29 ± 0.57 in the conventional Tuina group(P<0.05);in terms of psychological and social adaptation,18.26±1.71 in the Wenzheng Tongdu Tuina group showed significant improvement compared with 3.29±0.57 in the conventional Tuina group.In terms of psychological and social adaptability,18.26±1.71 was significantly improved compared with 17.24±2.38 in the conventional tui-na group(P<0.05).As for neck and shoulder pain,the scores were 2.97±1.00 and 3.15±0.65 after two courses of treatment in the Wenzheng Tongdu method tui-na and conventional tui-na groups,respectively,with no statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The above indicates that the efficacy of warming the meridians and tonifying the governors method of massage group in treating cervical vertigo is better than that of conventional massage group.Conclusions: Tui-na treatment with the method of warming the meridians and tonifying the governors has significant advantages in improving the vertigo symptoms in patients with cervical vertigo,and it is worth promoting clinically.
