Research On Drinking Water Safety Issues In Rural Areas Of Shanxi Provinc

Rural drinking water safety is a prerequisite and foundation for rural life and development,and an important guarantee for achieving rural revitalization.Shanxi Province is a province with abundant coal resources.The economic development model dominated by energy economy has driven the economic development within the province,supported national construction,and also brought about water pollution issues.This article analyzes the safety issues of rural drinking water in Shanxi Province,proposes solutions to these issues,promotes the development of rural drinking water in Shanxi Province,and ensures the living conditions and quality of life for farmers.The relevant research on drinking water in China focuses on the influencing factors of urban drinking water quality and water pollution,as well as drinking water regulation.Among them,there is relatively little research on the safety of rural drinking water.This article first introduces the concepts and theories related to rural drinking water safety,and then elaborates on the current situation of drinking water safety in rural areas of Shanxi Province.Using case analysis method,three typical cases of M Village,S Township,and X Village are analyzed to explore the issue of drinking water safety in rural areas of Shanxi Province;And conducted a satisfaction questionnaire survey on rural drinking water safety among 347 farmers in 11 townships in rural areas of Zhangzi County,to understand the current situation of drinking water in Zhangzi County and analyze farmers’ satisfaction with rural drinking water safety.And conduct research and analysis on the satisfaction of farmers and the influencing factors of farmers’ satisfaction.Through the above research,it has been found that there are still problems with drinking water safety in rural areas of Shanxi Province,such as water source pollution,unsafe drinking water environment,lack of relevant management personnel,difficulty in operation and management,and incomplete water supply facilities.The main reasons for these problems are: weak awareness of water source protection among farmers,lack of government management responsibility,and lack of financial support for rural drinking water engineering construction.Through understanding the legal systems and regulatory experiences of developed countries such as the United States,Japan,and the United Kingdom on drinking water resources,as well as drawing on the experience of drinking water safety management in Tianjin Binhai New Area and Jiangshan City,we aim to learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses,and propose relevant countermeasures to solve the problems in rural areas of Shanxi Province: attach importance to the protection of drinking water sources,increase government supervision,improve relevant laws and regulations,increase capital investment Improve the comprehensive quality of relevant management personnel and increase public participation.Through this study,it is hoped that it can provide a theoretical basis for relevant research on drinking water safety and provide certain reference value for subsequent research.
