Objective: In this study, the middle-aged and elderly patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis(KOA)were treated with intra-articular ozone therapy by using the advantages of high resolution,non-invasive,economic and high reproducibility of ultrasound. The Visual Analogue Scale/Score was respectively observed before and after the treatment.(VAS)score and the changes of soft tissue in the knee cavity. The soft tissue items including the amount of fluid in the knee suprapatellar bursae, the synovial tissue thickness of suprapatellar bursae and the blood flow in the synovial tissue before and after treatment were mainly observed,so as to evaluate the application value of high-frequency ultrasound in ozone treatment of KOA.Methods: Collected in October 2021 to December 2022 in wuhua district of kunming city people’s hospital and diagnosed with a total of 33 cases of KOA patients, included in the study of 31 cases. There were 6 males and 25 females. The mean age was 70(63,79)years.All the 30 patients included in the study received anteroposterior and lateral radiographs of the knee joint, and were clearly diagnosed as knee osteoarthritis. Then the patients with definite diagnosis were treated with intraarticular ozone therapy.VAS score and knee ultrasound were performed before treatment and after one course of treatment(7-8 days),respectively,to observe the changes of suprapatellar bursae volume, synovial thickness and synovial blood flow in joint cavity,so as to evaluate the effect of intraarticular ozone treatment for KOA and the application value of high-frequency ultrasound in the evaluation of KOA treatment effect. Results:After statistical analysis,it was found that the VAS scores of patients diagnosed with KOA by ozone treatment were significantly improved, and the results showed that the VAS scores after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).At the same time, the maximum depth of suprapatellar bursa effusion after ozone treatment was smaller than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The depth grade of suprapatellar bursae also decreased, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The grade of intraarticular synovial thickness less than that before treatment also decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).After ozone treatment, the number of affected knee joint cases with blood flow could be observed to decrease, and the number of affected knee joint cases with no obvious blood flow signal could be observed to increase.Ultrasound could observe that the blood signal in the thickened synovium was significantly reduced compared with that before treatment, with statistical significance(Z value=2.744,P < 0.01).Conclusion(s):In this study,it was found that after the knee osteoarthritis(KOA)patients were treated with intraarticular medical ozone injection, the VAS score of the patients was significantly decreased, the amount of suprapatellar bursae in the affected knee cavity was reduced, the synovial tissue thickness was also decreased, the blood grading in the synovial tissue was decreased, and the patients’ self-pain perception was relieved. The soft tissue lesions in the affected knee were improved.High-frequency color ultrasound is of great significance for the diagnosis of KOA and the evaluation of therapeutic effect.High-frequency ultrasound can intuitively observe the changes in the joint and provide objective indicators for the evaluation of therapeutic effect.
