ObjectiveTo observe the effects of Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan acupressure on the postoperative ankle swelling degree score, ankle VAS pain, activity function, ultrasensitive C-reactive Protein value and interleukin-6 value in patients with post-rotation and external rotation type II ankle fracture, and to explore its clinical value on the postoperative effects inpatients with post-rotation and external rotation type II ankle fracture,so as to provide a safe and effective treatment method for patients with ankle fracture.MethodsPatients with Posterior external rotation type II ankle fractures treated at Foshan City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2022 to January 2023 were selected for the study by randomized control method.84 patients were included according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,42 patients in the control group and 42 Patients in the treatment group. The control group was given postoperative basic treatment(postoperative elevation of the affected limb, health education, adjustment of dietary structure with emphasis on calcium and nutrient supplementation, etc.);the treatment group was treated with additional acupuncture point patching(Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan acupuncture Point Patching was aplied to the affected side of the patient on Tai Chong,Foot Lin Ye,Tai Xi,San Yin Jiao,Blood Sea and Yang Ling Quan once a day for 2 weeks starting from the first day after surgery). We observed and compared the postoperative ankle swelling degree score, ankle VAS Pain score, ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion mobility, ultrasensitive C-reactive Protein value,interleukin-6 value changes, compared AOFAS ankle and hindfoot scores at 1 day(before treatment),3 days,7 days and 14 days postoperatively, and observed the safety of treatment in both groups.Results1.Before treatment, the two groups were clinically comparable in terms of age, gender, baseline indexes such as right and left of the affected limb, and postoperative ankle soft tissue swelling degree score, swelling degree, ankle VAS pain score, ankle mobility, ultrasensitive C-reactive Protein value, and interleukin-6 value(all P > 0.05)There were no adverse events and good safety in both groups.2.Postoperative ankle swelling scores: the postoperative ankle swelling scores of patients in the control group increased on the third day of treatment compared with those before treatment, and decreased in the treatment group compared with those before treatment, with statistically significant differences between the groups(P < 0.05);on the7,14 days of treatment, the swelling scores of both groups decreased compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05),with more swelling reduction in the treatment group compared between the groups, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Ankle VAS pain scores: The ankle VAS pain scores of both groups decreased on days 3,7 and 14 of treatment compared with those before treatment. At day 3 of treatment, the degree of reduction of VAS score in the control group decreased statistically(P < 0.05),with a difference between the groups(P < 0.01).VAS pain scores in both groups decreased on the 7th and 14 th day of treatment compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05),and ankle pain in the treatment group was significantly relieved compared with the control group(P < 0.01).4.Ankle joint mobility: ankle joint mobility increased in both groups on day 3 of treatment compared with that before treatment, but the difference was not statistically significant in the control group(P>0.05),and the difference was statistically significant in the control group compared with that before treatment(P<0.05);on days 7 and 14 of treatment, ankle joint mobility increased in both groups compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and ankle joint mobility increased in the treatment group compared with that in the control group(P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).5.Ultrasensitive C-reactive Protein values and interleukin-6 values: ultrasensitive C-reactive Protein values and interleukin-6 values in the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment at 7 and 14 days(P < 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05)when comparing the treatment group with each other.6.AOFAS ankle and hindfoot scores: When comparing the AOFAS ankle and hindfoot scores of patients in both groups at 8 weeks after surgery, the AOFAS ankle and hindfoot scores were higher in the treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).ConclusionThe results of the study showed that acupressure was effective in treating postoperative swelling and pain in patients with posterior external rotation type II ankle fractures, and improved ankle joint movement significantly.Acupressure provides a safe and effective treatment method for ankle fracture patients and is worthy of clinical promotion... |
