Purpose:The clinical study on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy of Yang deficiency and blood stasis type through the combination of Du Mai Pu pavement moxibustion and acupuncture therapy provides clinical ideas for the clinical treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods: Ninety-six patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy among inpatients of the Department of Endocrinology I of Qinhuangdao Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2022 were selected, screened for cases meeting the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria, and divided into 48 cases each in the treatment and control groups according to a random number table. The control group was treated with oral medication along with basic diabetes treatment, mecobalamin 500mg/time,3 times/day.In the treatment group,on the basis of the control group,Du Mai Pu moxibustion combined with acupuncture therapy was given for 20 days. The clinical effects of the two groups were observed in terms of Toronto score, total Chinese medicine evidence score and nerve conduction velocity. Results: 1.Clinical efficacy: the total effective rate reached 68.9%and 93.3% in the control group and the treatment group, respectively, and the results showed that the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).2.In terms of nerve conduction velocity: after treatment, the nerve conduction velocity in both groups increased compared with that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the nerve conduction velocity in the treatment group was higher compared with that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.In terms of the total TCM efficacy score: both treatments improved the total TCM score after treatment(P<0.05);the improvement of the total TCM score in the treatment group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Regarding the Toronto score: After treatment, both treatment regimens resulted in lower Toronto scores than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the Toronto score, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The combination of moxibustion and acupuncture on the meridian pavement was effective in treating patients with Yang deficiency and blood stasis type of DPN,and was significantly more effective than western medicine alone in improving clinical outcomes, reducing patients’ TCM evidence scores, lowering Toronto scores, and improving nerve conduction velocity. |
