Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)combined with dorsomedial branch block of spinal nerve in the treatment of new osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF).Methods:Patients admitted to the Spine and Bone Disease Department of Guilin People’s Hospital from March 2022 to December 2022 were diagnosed as OVCF patients. The patients were randomly divided into observation group(PVP+ dorsalmedial branch of spinal nerve block)and control group(PVP alone),with 30 cases in each group.By collecting and analyzing the basic data, perioperative related indicators, preoperative and postoperative visual analogue scale(VAS)and modified Oswestry disability index(ODI)scores, preoperative and postoperative Cobb Angle and anterior edge height of injured vertebra, and postoperative complications of the two groups, the therapeutic effects of the observation group and the control group were compared. All data were imported into SPSS 27.0 statistical software for processing and analysis. Results:There were no significant differences in age, sex, body mass index(BMI),injured vertebral segment, bone mineral density(BMD),time from injury to operation, modified frailty index(m FI-5)between the two groups(P >0.05).There were no significant differences in mean operation time, dosage of bone cement, postoperative discharge time and total hospital stay(P > 0.05).The shape of the vertebral body(Cobb Angle of the injured vertebral body and anterior edge height of the injured vertebral body)of the two groups recovered after surgery(P < 0.05),but there was no statistical difference between the observation group and the control group(P > 0.05).There were no significant differences in ODI and VAS scores between the two groups before surgery(P >0.05),but the ODI and VAS scores on the day after surgery,3 days after surgery,7 days after surgery and 1 month after surgery were lower than those before surgery, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group, the ODI and VAS scores in the observation group were lower at each stage after surgery, and the results were statistically significant(P< 0.05).In this study, there was no statistical significance in the incidence of bone cement leakage between the two groups(P > 0.05),the incidence of postoperative residual pain in the control group was higher than that in the observation group, and other complications were not observed. Conclusions:Compared with PVP alone,PVP combined with dorsal medial branch block of spinal nerve in the treatment of newly diagnosed OVCF has achieved better efficacy in the short term, which is helpful to reduce the short-term postoperative pain of patients with thoracolumbar and back, and does not increase the incidence of complications and length of hospital stay, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
