Objectives To observe percutaneous vertebral plasty(PVP)in the treatment of osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compression fractures in curative effect, and compare the compressibility fracture in thoracic vertebra and the differences in the curative effect of lumbar vertebral compression fractures. Methods Select a comprehensive hospital hospitalized elderly patients with osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fractures,a total of 60 section, divided into two groups, thoracic and lumbar group PVP surgery treatment respectively. To determine Cobb Angle and correction rate before and after operation. Before the surgery and after surgery,1 to 4 w d,7 d and visual analog scores(VAS)determination of the degree of pain, determination of active ability of daily life(ADL)score operation impact on daily life activities ability; The satisfaction of patients was determined by questionnaire. The permeability of bone cement was measured. Results There was no significant difference in Cobb Angle correction rate between the two groups. There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups, but the ADL score in the 4w thoracic group was higher than that in the lumbar group(P<0.05).The permeability of bone cement in lumbar vertebrae was higher than that of thoracic vertebrae(P<0.05).Conclusions 1.PVP has good therapeutic effect on osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compression fracture.2.In the treatment of senile osteoporotic vertebral fracture,PVP is superior to the lumbar spine in promoting the long-term effect of daily life and preventing bone cement penetration.
