Objective:To investigate the effect of embedding acupuncture therapy on gastrointestinal function recovery in patients with gastric cancer after laparoscopic radical surgery. Methods:Clinical electronic case data were collected from October 2019 to June 2021 from the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical College with a clear diagnosis of gastric cancer and laparoscopic radical gastric cancer surgery.According to the different postoperative treatment methods, they were divided into buried needle group and control group. The control group was treated according to the conventional perioperative treatment in gastrointestinal surgery, and the buried-needle group was treated with buried-needle treatment at the Shangjuxu point, the Xiajuxu point, and the Zusanli point on top of the conventional treatment, which was performed from the first postoperative day and once a day until the treatment was stopped on the day before discharge. The clinical data collected were statistically analyzed by using the statistical software SPSS 28.0.Results: A total of 186 patients were included in the study, including 96 patients in the buried acupuncture treatment group and 90 patients in the conventional treatment group. There was no significant difference in baseline data between 2 groups(P>0.05).The time of first anal exhaust and defecation in the embedding group was earlier than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the hospital stay in the embedding group was also lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The abdominal distension score of the two groups after treatment was significantly different(P<0.05),and the abdominal distension score of the embedding group was significantly better than that of the control group at 24 h,48h and 72 h after treatment(P<0.01).At the 1st to 5th day after surgery,NRS abdominal pain score in the embedding group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the acupuncture implantation group and the control group(10.4% and 20%)(P>0.05).After treatment, there were significant differences in white blood cell count(WBC),neutrophil ratio(NEUT)and C-reactive protein(CRP)between the two groups(P<0.05).There were significant differences in WBC and NEUT between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Embedding acupuncture therapy is helpful to shorten the recovery time of gastrointestinal function and postoperative hospital stay of patients after laparoscopic radical gastrectomy, relieve abdominal distension and abdominal pain, reduce postoperative inflammatory stress response, and accelerate the process of postoperative rehabilitation of patients. |
