| Objective:To observe the effect and utility of yoga exercise on the recovery of overall pelvic floor function in postpartum women through the clinical application of yoga exercise in postpartum women at 42 days, the study can explore new treatments for women with pelvic floor dysfunctional disorders caused by childbirth and provide some reference for the clinical treatment of this disease. Methods: A total of 188 women who were diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction from September 2021 to March 2022 in return visit 42 days after delivery at the pelvic floor and postpartum rehabilitation clinic of Longhua District Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Shenzhen were selected for the study. These women were randomly assigned 1:1 to the control group and the yoga group according to the random number table method, and the control group was given health education and postpartum health exercises while the yoga group was given yoga exercises based on the control group, with a treatment period of 12 weeks. At the beginning and end of the study, the changes in pelvic floor muscle strength were evaluated through the modified Oxford muscle strength test.pelvic floor electrophysiological indices were collected using a neuromuscular stimulation therapy device. The degree of pelvic organ prolapse were evaluated through the pelvic organ prolapse quantification(POP-Q)scale.The body mass index(BMI)and waist circumference(WC)were measured. Moreover, the postpartum pain visual analogue scale(VAS)score was measured. The incontinence impact questionnaire short form(ⅡQ-7),and pelvic organ prolapse-urinary incontinence sexual questionnaire-12(PISQ-12)were completed. Results: 1.After yoga exercise intervention, the results of muscle strength ratings of class I and Ⅱ muscle fibers in the yoga group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(z=-7.401,P<0.05;z=-7.744,P<0.05).2.Dynamic vaginal pressure(t=3.540,P<0.05),fatigue of class I pelvic floor muscle fibers(z=-2.400,P<0.05),and fatigue of class Ⅱ pelvic floor muscle fibers(z=-3.399,P<0.05)in the yoga group were better than those in the control group.3.The POP-Q scores of anterior and posterior vaginal walls in the yoga group were better than the control group in terms of indexes, and the improvement effect of the yoga group was better than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P< 0.05).4.The BMI of the yoga group was better than the control group(t=-2.003,P<0.05),and the decrease in BMI was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were all statistically significant(t=2.084,P<0.05);the difference in waist circumference in the yoga group before and after the intervention was statistically significant(t=2.063,P<0.05),while the difference in the degree of improvement between the two groups was not statistically significant(t=0.349,P>0.05).5.The PISQ-12 scores were improved and the ⅡQ-7 scores and pain VAS scores were significantly reduced in both the control and yoga groups. In both ⅡQ-7 scores and pain VAS scores, the reduction was higher in the yoga group than in the control group(P< 0.05),and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusions: The study concludes that yoga exercises can improve maternal pelvic floor muscle strength, improve pelvic floor muscle electrophysiological index levels and pelvic organ prolapse, improve maternal quality of life, and positively promote postpartum body shape recovery. |
