| Objectives1.To translate the English version of the Adherence Determination Questionnaire(ADQ)into Chinese and to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of ADQ in cancer patients.2.The Chinese version questionnaire was used to explore the degree of behavior intention and related factors of treatment adherence in cancer patients.Methods1.The translation and reliability and validity test of the questionnaire:we translated into the Chinese version of the Adherence Determination Questionnaire according to the Brislin’s translation model,culture adaptation and pre-survey.From September 2021 to March 2022,convenience sampling was used to select 510 cancer patients in a Class III Grade A cancer hospital in Guangzhou,and to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of ADQ.Use IBM SPSS 25.0 and R4.3.2 software to analyze the data.The Pearson correlation analysis of item-total score and the decision value method were used to screen the questionnaire items.Content validity and structure validity were used to evaluate the validity of the questionnaire.Cronbach’sαand test-retest reliability were used to evaluate the reliability of the Chinese version questionnaire.2.Cross-sectional survey:a total of 216 cancer patients in a Class Ⅲ Grade A cancer hospital in Guangzhou from April to July 2022 were selected as respondents by convenience sampling method.The self-designed general information questionnaire,the Chinese version of the Adherence Determination Questionnaire,M.D.Anderson Symptom Inventory and Social Support Rating Scale were used to investigate the behavior intention level and influencing factors of treatment adherence of cancer patients.SPSS 25.0 was used to analyze the data,and the general data were statistically described by mean,standard deviation,frequency,and constituent ratio.T-test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the difference of behavior intention degree of treatment adherence of cancer patients,and multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of behavior intention of treatment adherence(P<0.05).Results1.Finally,the Chinese version of ADQ that is suitable for China’s cultural background and has good reliability and validity.The questionnaire consisted of 24items and 5 dimensions including doctor-patient communication(9 items),intention(5 items),subjective norm(4 items),perceived susceptibility(3items)and perceived severity(3 items).After two rounds of expert letter consultation,the results showed that a total of 5 items 17,19,21,23 and 24 were deleted.The Chinese questionnaire item analyzed the correlation coefficient between9 items and the total score of the questionnaire were less than 0.30(items 2,3,7,9,12,13,22,24,and 31),and other items ranged from 0.306 to 0.462(P<0.01),except for item 31 CR value was<3.0(P=0.54),the CR values of other items ranged from 3.015 to 10.617,all of which were greater than 3.0,so 9 items were deleted in this study.The content validity index of the questionnaire was 0.96,and the content validity index of each item was greater than 0.85.Exploratory factor analysis extracts 5 common factors,and the cumulative variance contribution rate is60.038%.The confirmatory factor analysis showed that χ~2/df=1.959,RMSEA=0.056,SRMR=0.057,CFI=0.911,TIL=0.902.The Cronbach’s α of the questionnaire was0.750,and the Cronbach’sαof each dimension ranged from 0.628 to 0.802,and the test-retest reliability was 0.858.2.The adherence behavior intention of cancer patients is at the medium level,with a total score of(60.62±7.24)and scores of each dimension as follows:the scores of doctor-patient communication,intention,subjective norm,perceived susceptibility and perceived severity were(28.06±6.67),(9.56±2.75),(7.63±2.21),(8.12±1.89)and(7.23±1.70)respectively.The total score of social support was(41.42±6.40),where the subjective support dimension score was(8.85±6.19),the objective support dimension score was(3.48±1.27),and the social support utilization score was(2.36±0.84).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age,disease metastasis,disease progression,symptom severity and social support were the main influencing factors for treatment adherence of cancer patients.Conclusions1.The Chinese version of the Adherence Determination questionnaire has 24items and 5 dimensions including doctor-patient communication,intention,subjective norm,perceived susceptibility and perceived severity.After evaluation,the Chinese version has good reliability and validity.2.The Chinese version of ADQ can be used to measure the adherence behavior intention level of cancer patients,and the results showed that the adherence behavior intention of patients was in middle level,among which age,disease metastasis,disease progression,symptom severity and social support level were the influencing factors of treatment adherence behavior intention. |
