Objective:1.To investigate the current status of spiritual coping,anxiety,depression and hope levels in patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies;2.To explore the mediating effect of spiritual coping between anxiety depression,and hope in patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies.Methods:Between July and November 2022,263 patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies attending a tertiary care hospital in Guangzhou were selected for the study using a convenience sampling method and questionnaires were administered.In this study,data were collected based on a cross-sectional study design using convenience sampling and 263 patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies attending a tertiary hospital in Guangzhou from July to November 2022 were selected for the study,using a self-designed general information questionnaire,Herth hope index,Spiritual Coping Questionnaire,and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale.SPSS25.0 software pieces were used for statistical description and analysis.Differences in spiritual coping scores of patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies by demographic characteristics and human environment were analyzed using frequency,composition ratio,median,mean rank order,internal consistency reliability(Cronbach’alpha),Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test;Spearman correlation analysis of the relationship between spiritual coping,hope levels,anxiety,and depression;Mediating effects of spiritual coping,anxiety,depression,and hope levels were softly analyzed and validated using AMOS 26.0.Results:1.Patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies had anxiety scores of 11.17 ± 3.31 and depression scores of 10.61 ± 2.87;positive spiritual coping scores of 3.35 ± 0.43 and negative spiritual coping scores of 3.04 ± 0.57;and hope levels of 29.68 ± 2.24.2.The direct effect of anxiety,depression and hope level in patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies was-0.381,and the mediating effect of positive spiritual coping between anxiety,depression and hope level was-0.205,with a total effect of 34.98%.Conclusion:1.Patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies have moderate levels of anxiety,depression and hope,and are more likely to use positive spiritual coping to cope with their disease.2.Anxiety and depression can directly affect the level of hope in patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies,while positive spiritual coping plays a mediating effect in the level of hope and anxiety and depression in patients with Gastrointestinal malignancies.
