Objective:The regional homogeneity(Re Ho)of resting-state fMRI was used to explore the neural mechanism of the separation and integration of object color knowledge understanding of language and perceptual sources in stroke patients. The clarification of the mechanism can provide some guidance for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with poststroke aphasia(PSA).Methods:We collected the performance and resting-state fMRI data of 25 patients with chronic stroke and 26 normal subjects in the verbal and non-verbal source object color judgment task, and analyzed the whole brain correlation between the resting-state fMRI index Re Ho value and the standardized three sets of behavioral values(verbal and non-verbal source object color judgment task performance and the difference between the two performance). Results:The experimental results showed that the Re Ho values of the left superior occipital gyrus(verbal: r= 0.550,p< 0.01;non-verbal: r= 0.559,p< 0.01)and the left anterior temporal lobe(ATL)(verbal: r=-0.611,p< 0.01;non-verbal: r=-0.619,p< 0.001)were significantly correlated with the impaired color judgment ability of the two types of objects, and showed the same trend. The Re Ho values of the left superior temporal gyrus(r= 0.705,p< 0.001)and the left inferior frontal gyrus(r= 0.766,p< 0.001)were positively correlated with the difference between the two types of tasks(verbal versus non-verbal).The Re Ho values of the left(r=-0.663,p< 0.001)and right(r=-0.696,p< 0.001)parahippocampal gyrus were negatively correlated with the difference between the two types of tasks, and their Re Ho values were correlated with the object color judgment ability of the two types of sources. At the sub-network level, the Re Ho value of the limbic sub-network showed the same trend as the object color judgment ability of the two sources(verbal: r =-0.458,p< 0.05;non-verbal:r=-0.293);the Re Ho value of the ventral attention sub-network was negatively correlated with the difference between the two types of tasks(r= 0.545,p< 0.01),and the correlation between their Re Ho values and the object color judgment ability of the two types of sources showed the opposite trend(verbal:r= 0.38;non-verbal: r=-0.326).Conclusions:The left superior occipital gyrus and ATL are generally involved in the judgment process of object color knowledge, suggesting that the left superior occipital gyrus and ATL are general brain regions for object color knowledge understanding. The left superior temporal gyrus and the left inferior frontal gyrus are specifically involved in the judgment process of verbal source object color knowledge, suggesting that the left superior temporal gyrus and the left inferior frontal gyrus are specific brain regions for the understanding of language source object color knowledge. The bilateral parahippocampal gyrus is specifically involved in the judgment process of non-verbal source object color knowledge, suggesting that the bilateral parahippocampal gyrus is a specific brain region for the understanding of perceptual source object color knowledge. |
