Objective:1.Construct narrative nursing intervention program for adolescent patients with depression, and provide an effective and reliable intervention method for clinical nurses in the nursing process.2.Explore the applicability and effectiveness of the constructed narrative nursing intervention scheme for adolescents with depression in clinical nursing practice.Methods:1.Literature analysis: Literature related to narrative nursing for patients with depression was searched and screened through Cochrane Library,Pub Med,Web of Science,Embase,CNKI,Wanfang,CBM,VIP and other Chinese and English databases.Intervention strategies were summarized by literature content analysis to form the first draft of a narrative nursing intervention plan. The final intervention plan was created after the research group had discussed and modified it.These experts were then asked to examine and provide guidance on the strategy.2.Quasi-experimental research: A quasi-experimental experimental study design was used to select a total of 92 inpatients with depression from August 2021 to May 2022 at a third-class uni’s mental health division A hospital in the province of Shanxi served as the study’s research subject, with 46 patients split between the control and intervention groups.Among them, the second and third floor inpatients with depression in the mental health department who met the standard of treatment were selected as the control group(46 cases). The intervention group consisted of depressed teenagers who were admitted to the mental health department’s fourth floor and consumed the recommended amounts of salt(46 cases). The control group received standard nursing care, whereas the intervention group received a pre-made narrative nursing intervention plan for patients with teenage depression. To assess the effectiveness of the intervention, the following tools were used: the self-rating depression scale(SDS),the Hamilton depression scale(HAMD),the simple coping style questionnaire(SCSQ),the psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC),the morisky medication compliance scale(MMAS-8),the self-esteem scale(SES),and the nursing satisfaction scale.3.The statistical analysis was done with SPSS26.0.Examples of qualitative data use cases and component ratios were provided. We utilized the chi-square test or Fisher exact test.A T-test was used to assess the outcomes of quantitative data that had a normal distribution and was described by mean standard deviation((?)±s).The baseline levels of scales and dimensions prior to the intervention were taken into account as covariates, the final scores of the scales and dimensions at the conclusion of the intervention were taken into consideration as dependent variables, and the group was taken into consideration as a fixed effect for covariance analysis.Statistics were regarded as significant at P<0.05.Results:1.Literature analysis:There were a total of 9 studies in the literature on narrative nursing interventions for depressed patients. In the end,the research group’s discussion and the thoughtful involvement of important specialists led to the creation of the narrative nurse intervention plan. The narrative nursing intervention plan was divided into four stages: "concern","guidance","problem solving" and "reflection and growth".There are seven themes: "Empathy/Mental health Education","Guiding Narrative","Externalizing problems","Deconstructing Dialogue","rewriting and reconstruction","External witnesses/therapeutic documents",and "Confirming motivation/growth Exploration".2.Quasi-experimental research:Ultimately,92 teenage depression patients were enrolled. Before the intervention, there was no discernible difference between the two groups in terms of age, gender,or other fundamental data(P > 0.05).The findings of the inter-group T-test revealed that there was no significant difference between the two groups’ pre-intervention baseline scores on the SDS,HAMD,CD-RISC(optimism,tenacity,self-improvement),SCSQ(negative coping, positive coping),SES,and MMAS-8(P > 0.05).Following a two-week narrative nursing intervention, there was a statistically significant difference between the groups(P<0.05)in the score levels of optimism,tenacity,self-improvement,positive coping,SES,and MMAS-8 compared to the control group and a significant increase in the score levels of HAMD,SDS,and negative coping.According to the in-group paired T-test,the scores of HAMD,SDS,optimism,tenacity,self-improvement,negative coping, positive coping,SES,and MMAS-8 in the intervention group before and after the intervention were statistically significant(P<0.05),whereas the optimism,tenacity,self-improvement,negative coping, positive coping,SES,and MMAS-8 scores in the control group were statistically significant(P<0.05).No outcome was statistically significant(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant result(P>0.05).Moreover,the control group’s HAMD,SDS,and medication compliance ratings before and after the intervention were statistically different(P < 0.05).Nevertheless,following intervention, the intervention group’s HAMD and SDS ratings were much lower than those of the control group, and the group’s scores on medication compliance were significantly higher than those of the control group. The findings of the covariance analysis indicated that, after removing the impact of baseline level, the final scores of each scale and each dimension compared to the baseline data at the conclusion of the intervention were identical to the outcomes after two weeks of intervention, there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.This study was based on literature analysis, literature screening, quality evaluation, discussion and modification of the research group combined with the guidance of relevant experts, and finally formed the narrative nursing intervention program for adolescent patients with depression.2.The recommended strategy was accepted. While the intervention group significantly outperformed the control group in terms of psychological resilience, coping style,self-esteem,medication compliance, and nursing satisfaction, the intervention group significantly underperformed the control group in terms of anxiety, depression, and negative coping. This result implies that the intervention strategy is crucial to the nursing treatment of patients with teenage depression. To a certain extent,it can relieve patients’ depression, reduce psychological pain, improve mental resilience,self-esteem,positive coping ability, improve patients’ medication compliance and nursing satisfaction, and enhance patients’ mental health and treatment confidence. Therefore, this study is worthy of further promotion and application.
