The Ability Of Facial Expression Recognition And Deception Detection In Female Nurses

Identifying facial expressions and deception are skills that are often required for communication and interaction between people,and are particularly important in the field of healthcare.Nurses need to handle the emotional needs and expressions of patients and their families in their daily work.Therefore,will nurses have stronger facial recognition and deception detection abilities than female college students of the same age group? Due to limitations in data collection for experimental subjects,this study aims to delve deeper into the abilities of female nurses in facial expression recognition and deception detection.The research results can provide a reference for the evaluation of female nurses’ professional abilities and educational training.In addition,research can expand our understanding of emotional intelligence,deeply analyze the correlation between facial expression recognition,emotional intelligence,and deception detection,thereby promoting the development of relevant theoretical research and practical applications.Research purpose: To explore the relationship between facial expression recognition and deception detection in female nurses,as well as the relationship between facial expression recognition and emotion,and to analyze whether there are significant differences in facial expression recognition,emotional intelligence,and deception detection between female nurses and female college students.Research method: 31 female nurses were selected as the experimental group and 32 female college students as the control group.The experiment was divided into three parts.The first part mainly selected macro and micro expressions of three emotional categories(fear,happiness,and expressionless)as the experimental materials for female nurses’ facial expression recognition,and measured their facial expression recognition ability and emotional intelligence.The experimental materials in the second part are different genders(male and female)of the subjects and different stimulation conditions(audio-visual,visual)to explore the deception detection ability of female nurses.The third part is related research on the facial expression recognition ability and deception detection of female nurses.Research conclusion:(1)The accuracy rate of female nurses’ macro expression recognition and micro expression recognition is higher than that of female college students’ macro expression recognition and micro expression recognition,respectively.The interaction effect between the macro expression category and the subject category is not significant,while the interaction effect between the micro expression category and the subject category is not significant.Additionally,female nurses’ ability to recognize expressionless,fearful,and happy micro expressions decreases sequentially,all reaching a significant level.The macro expression recognition ability of female nurses is not correlated with the overall and various parts of emotional intelligence,while the micro expression recognition ability is not correlated with the overall emotional intelligence,and is positively correlated with self emotional management.(2)The accuracy rate of female nurses’ deception detection is significantly higher than that of female students’ deception detection.There was no difference in deception detection among female nurses for different genders of the judged subjects(male and female),and there was no difference in deception detection for different stimuli(audio-visual,visual).(3)There is a significant positive correlation between the accuracy of female nurses’ macro expressions and deception detection.There is a significant positive correlation between female nurses’ fear macro expressions and deception detection,while there is a significant positive correlation between female nurses’ neutral macro expressions and deception detection.There was no significant correlation between the accuracy of female nurses’ micro-expression and deception detection.
