Objective: To investigate the efficacy of the classical formula of Mongolian medicine,Naru-3 Pills,in reducing neuropathic pain by applying it to patients with neuropathic pain, and to further verify the therapeutic effect of this method by analyzing various aspects such as serum factors, pain score, pain nature and sleep quality,so as to make a comprehensive evaluation of Mongolian medicine Naru-3 Pills. Methods: Patients with neuropathic pain were divided into two groups according to the random number table method according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria: the control group(n=20)was treated with conventional treatment,i.e.,patients took pregabalin capsules,75 mg each time, twice a day,and combined with regular nerve blocks in the pain area, injected with lidocaine hydrochloride injection(0.2 g),neurotoxin(3.6 units)and vitamin B12injection(0.25 mg)once over three days for 5 times;in the experimental group(n=20),Naru-3 pills were added orally(3-5 pills before bedtime)to the conventional treatment, and the treatment period was 2 weeks in both groups.Use patient diaries to record patients’ baseline information(age, sex, weight, duration of illness, type of illness),neuropathic pain assessment scales before treatment;NRS scores, the short-form Mc Gill Pain Questionnaire, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index before and 2 weeks after treatment;Serum was collected from patients before and two weeks after treatment for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to detect changes in the expression levels of serological factors TNF-α,IL-6,IL-1β,and IL-8,as well as the occurrence of adverse events during the treatment cycle. After data collection was completed, statistical analysis was applied to compare the differences in the effects between the two groups before and after treatment, and an objective evaluation of the efficacy of Naru-3 Pills in treating patients with neuropathic pain was made based on the results. Results: 1.Baseline data(age, sex, weight, duration of illness, type of illness),NRS score,SF-MPQ,PSQI questionnaire score, and serological factors were compared between the two groups before treatment, and the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).2.NRS scores: compared with the pre-treatment period,NRS scores decreased in both groups after 2 weeks of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);after 2weeks of treatment, compared with the control group,NRS scores decreased in the test group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.The short-form Mc Gill pain questionnaire: compared with the pre-treatment period, the questionnaire scores decreased in both groups after 2 weeks of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);after 2 weeks of treatment, the questionnaire scores decreased in the test group compared with the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).4.PSQI score: Compared with before treatment, questionnaire scores of both groups were significantly decreased, with statistical significance(P < 0.05);Compared with the control group, the PSQI score of the experimental group decreased more significantly, and the experimental group was better than the control group in improving sleep, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.Serological factors: compared with the pre-treatment period, the concentrations of inflammatory factors(IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α)decreased in both groups after 2 weeks of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);compared with the pre-treatment period, the concentrations of inflammatory factors(IL-8)did not decrease in both groups after 2 weeks of treatment, and the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05);after 2 weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, the concentrations of inflammatory factors(IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α)in the test After 2 weeks of treatment was reduced in the test group compared with the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Mongolian Naru-3 Pills combined with conventional therapy can effectively reduce the pain of patients with neuropathic pain, and can improve the quality of sleep of patients and promote their rapid recovery. At the same time, the serological test results showed that Naru-3 Pills may have the effect of regulating neuroinflammation.
