Objective To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yangshen Kaiyu acupuncture combined with ear point pressing beans in the treatment of perimenopausal depression with liver qi stagnation, and compare it with traditional western medicine treatment,so as to provide a new treatment method for the clinical treatment of perimenopausal depression. Methods Patients who visited our Chinese medicine department from August 2021 to August2022 were included in this study, and 66 patients with perimenopausal depression identified as liver qi stagnation type by Chinese medicine were screened and selected for this study according to the inclusion criteria of the cases, and they were randomly divided into two groups of 33 cases each for treatment. The treatment group was treated with Yangshen Kaiyu acupuncture combined with ear point pressing beans, while the control group was treated with western medicine fluoxetine hydrochloride dispersible tablets. The changes of Hamilton Depression Inventory(HAMD-24)score,modified Kupperman scale score,Chinese medicine evidence score, sex hormones(estradiol(E2),follicle stimulating estrogen(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH)and recurrence rate were observed and recorded before and after treatment in both groups.Statistical analysis was used to compare the differences between and within groups.Results1.Comparison of the efficacy of depression: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.55%,the total effective rate of the control group was 74.19%,the total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).2.Comparison of the efficacy of Chinese medical evidence: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.32%,the total effective rate of the control group was 64.74%,the total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).3.At the end of the treatment course, the Hamilton Depression Scale scores, modified Kupperman Scale scores, and TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were compared with the pre-treatment scores, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Sex hormone indexes(E2,FSH,LH): There was no significant difference in sex hormone indexes between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),which was comparable. After treatment, the P values were <0.05,indicating that both treatments could improve the sex hormone levels in patients, but the efficacy of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group.5.Comparison of recurrence rate: 8.71% in the treatment group and 54.55% in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Yangshen Kaiyu acupuncture method and ear point pressing beans can significantly alleviate depressive symptoms, perimenopausal somatic symptoms,TCM symptoms and sex hormone(E2,FSH,LH)levels in patients with perimenopausal depression with liver qi stagnation, and the effect is better than that of traditional oral western medicine treatment. It also has a low recurrence rate and has a high clinical application value.
