Objective The aim of this research is to gain insight into the chronic illnesses of Tianjin’s bank personnel,to identify the primary factors that contribute to these diseases, and to provide a theoretical foundation for the formation of targeted chronic disease prevention strategies and interventions for bank personnel. Methods Using two-stage stratified cluster sampling method,1,815 employees from 6 banks who underwent group physical examination in physical examination Center of Tianjin Armed Police Special Medical Center from July to December 2021 were selected as the research objects. An investigation of the demographic traits, chronic illness status, and health-related habits of Tianjin bank personnel was conducted through a questionnaire, physical exam, endoscopy and pathology, abdominal ultrasound, and laboratory biochemical assessment. The measurement data subject to normal distribution are described with mean±standard deviation, and the t-test is used for inter-group comparison;Measurement data of non-normal distribution are described by M(P25,P75),and rank sum test is used for inter-group comparison; The counting data is described in terms of rate or constituent ratio, and inter-group comparison is adoptedχ~2Inspection;Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of dyslipidemia and fatty liver. Results A total of 1,736 employees of Tianjin Bank were surveyed in this study. The Bank of Tianjin’s 1297 employees were discovered to have chronic illnesses, with a prevalence rate of 74.71%.The prevalence rate of chronic diseases was83.98%in males and 66.23%in females. There were 353 patients(20.33%)suffering from 2chronic diseases,297 patients(17.11%)suffering from 3 chronic diseases,121 patients(6.97%)suffering from 4 chronic diseases, and 87 patients(5.01%)suffering from≥5 chronic diseases. The four most prevalent chronic diseases were dyslipidemia, fatty liver, hypertension, and obesity, with respective prevalence rates of 33.64%,32.26%,16.99%,and15.50%.The prevalence rates of dyslipidemia, fatty liver, hyperuricemia, hypertension, and obesity were higher in male bank staff than in female staff. With the increase of age, dyslipidemia, fatty liver, hyperuricemia, hypertension prevalence gradually increased.Multivariate analysis revealed that male(OR=1.557,95%CI:1.196~2.027),50~60 years old(OR=2.449,95%CI:1.471~4.078),obesity(OR=1.992,95%CI:1.464~2.710)and depression(OR=1.449,95%CI:1.133~1.853)were the risk factors for dyslipidemia, and master’s degree or above(OR=0.520,95%CI:0.280~0.967)and moderate intensity physical activity(OR=0.742,95%CI:0.599~0.920)were the protective factors.Married(OR=1.618,95%CI:1.073~2.441),overweight(OR=2.373,95%CI:1.831~3.076),obesity(OR=7.412,95%CI:5.330~10.308),salty taste(OR=1.613,95%CI:1.129~2.305)were risk factors for fatty liver disease,college/bachelor’s degree(OR=0.479,95%CI:0.261~0.881),master’s degree or above(OR=0.449,95%CI:0.233~0.864),moderate intensity physical activity(OR=0.686,95%CI:0.546~0.861)were protective factors for fatty liver disease. Conclusion The Bank of Tianjin’s employees are disproportionately afflicted with chronic diseases, with dyslipidemia, fatty liver, hyperuricemia, hypertension, and obesity being the top five. The risk factors of dyslipidemia were 50~60 years old, male, obesity and depression, and the protective factors were master’s degree or above and moderate physical activity intensity.Married, overweight, obesity, salty taste were risk factors for fatty liver disease,college/bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or above, moderate physical activity intensity were protective factors for fatty liver disease.
