Objective: In this study, surface electromyography(s EMG)was used to observe the effect of Mongolian medicine acupuncture on leg muscle electrophysiology in convalescent patients with stroke, and the effects on ankle joint function, lower extremity motor function and walking function were evaluated with related scales. Methods: A total of 70 convalescent stroke patients who met the diagnostic and Inclusion criteria were screened from January 2022 to January 2023 at the inpatient and outpatient of Five Treatments and Rehabilitation Department of the Inner Mongolia International Mongolian Hospital. And randomly divided into treatment group and control group,35 cases each. The treatment group was treated with Mongolian medicine acupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training, once a day,25 minutes each time,6 days a week. The control group was treated with biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with rehabilitation training, once a day,25 minutes,6 days a week. Two groups of patients with rehabilitation training were completed by a group of rehabilitation division,20 minutes each time, six times a week. The course of treatment was four weeks. The RMS of tibialis anterior and Peroneus longus, the angle of ankle dorsiflexion,Fugl-Meyer assessment of motor function of lower extremity and FIM assessment of walking ability were recorded before and after treatment.Results:1.There was no significant difference in sex, age, course of disease and hemiplegic side between the two groups(P > 0.05).2.There was no significant difference in RMS of tibialis anterior muscle,RMS of Peroneus longus muscle, ankle dorsiflexion angle,Fugl-meyer motor function rating scale of lower extremity and FIM walking ability before treatment(P > 0.05).3.The RMS value of tibialis anterior muscle, the RMS value of Peroneus longus muscle, the angle of ankle dorsiflexion,Fugl-meyer motor function rating scale of lower extremity and FIM walking ability rating scale were significantly different between the two groups before and after treatment(p < 0.05),it indicated that the therapeutic effect of both groups was effective.4.The RMS value of tibialis anterior muscle, the RMS value of Peroneus longus muscle, the angle of ankle dorsiflexion,Fugl-meyer motor function rating scale of lower extremity and FIM walking ability rating scale were significantly different between the two groups after treatment(p < 0.05),the results showed that the therapeutic effect of Mongolian medicine acupuncture on patients with stroke at convalescent stage was better than that of biofeedback electrical stimulation.Conclusion:1.Mongolian medicine acupuncture therapy can obviously improve ankle joint function of the convalescent patients with stroke, and it is superior to biofeedback electrical stimulation therapy.2.Mongolian medicine acupuncture therapy can improve RMS value of tibialis anterior muscle and peroneus longus muscle and is effective for ankle back extension angle, lower limb movement function and walking ability.3.Surface electromyography(s EMG)can quantitatively evaluate the effect of Mongolian medicine acupuncture on leg muscle strength in patients with stroke.
