Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of low-frequency electrical nerve stimulation in the treatment of VLS and explore the relevant mechanisms.Methods: 46 VLS patients who met the criteria were included as the experimental group,and16 healthy volunteers were recruited as the control group.Visual infrared thermography was performed on all subjects when they were enrolled.The experimental group avoided the menstrual period and received low-frequency nerve electrical stimulation therapy.Two pairs of electrode pads were placed on the lateral sides of both labia majoris,using the circulation promoting mode of the low-frequency neuromuscular therapy instrument(P4 mode: 10 Hz,300 μ s)The current intensity is 10~20m A,once a day for 30 min,and after 2 weeks,it is changed to once every other day for 10 weeks,lasting for a total of 12 weeks.Before treatment,for 4 weeks,for 8 weeks,and for 12 weeks,the test group was scored for itching degree,skin color,skin elasticity,and lesion area,and the average temperature of the perineal region and the temperature changes of the relevant acupoints(Shenque,Qugu,Changqiang,and Sanyinjiao)were observed.Finally,the efficacy was comprehensively evaluated.result:1.After 12 weeks of low-frequency electrical nerve stimulation treatment,in the experimental group,1 case(2.3%)was cured,10 cases(23.3%)were significantly effective,31 cases(72.1%)were effective,and 1 case(2.3%)was ineffective.The overall effective rate was 97.7%.2.As the duration of low-frequency electrical nerve stimulation treatment increased,the patient’s VAS score,skin color score,and skin elasticity score gradually decreased,and there was a time effect at four time points before and after treatment(P<0.05),with a statistically significant difference.3.As the duration of low-frequency electrical nerve stimulation treatment increases,the patient’s lesion range score gradually decreases.Pairwise comparison results at different times:After 12 weeks of treatment,the lesion range score was lower than before treatment,after 4weeks of treatment,and after 8 weeks of treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The lesion range score after 8 weeks of treatment was lower than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference between the lesion range score after 4 weeks of treatment and the lesion range score before and after 8 weeks of treatment(P>0.05).4.Compared with the control group,the average temperature of the perineal region in the experimental group,as well as the temperatures of Shenque,Qugu,Changqiang,and Sanyinjiao points,were lower than those of the normal person(P<0.05),with a statistically significant difference.5.Before treatment,the average temperature in the perineal region of VLS patients,as well as the average temperature at Shenque,Qugu,Changqiang,and Sanyinjiao points,were 30.79℃,31.09 ℃,30.77 ℃,30.61 ℃,and 30.27 ℃,respectively.After treatment,the average temperature was 34.20℃,33.63℃,33.01℃,32.77℃,and 32.72℃,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and there was a time effect at four time points before and after treatment,The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).conclusion1.Low frequency electrical nerve stimulation can effectively treat VLS,and with the gradual increase of treatment time,the treatment effect becomes better and better.2.The average temperature of the perineal region in VLS patients,including Shenque,Qugu,Changqiang,and Sanyinjiao,is lower than that in normal individuals.After low-frequency nerve electrical stimulation treatment,the temperature gradually increases,which may be one of the mechanisms for treating VLS;3.Low frequency electrical nerve stimulation therapy promotes circulation mode(10Hz,300μ s)It can improve itching symptoms,skin color,skin elasticity,and narrow the range of lesions by improving local microcirculation and regulating the intracellular environment,thereby improving the nutritional metabolism and metabolism of local tissues,and promoting the repair and regeneration of local tissues;4.Combined with visual infrared thermal imaging technology,it can provide reliable observation indicators for the diagnosis and efficacy evaluation of VLS by analyzing the temperature changes in the perineal region and related acupoints;5.Low frequency electrical nerve stimulation therapy has the characteristics of quick response,safety,non-invasive,easy operation,and small side effects.The home based treatment model can save patients time and cost,and is easy for patients to accept.
