Objective: By using comprehensive geriatric assessment tassessment(CGA),the clinical characteristics, differences and risk factors of senile patients with multipleorgan dysfunction Syndrome in the elderly(MODSE)in two groups of different age groups in Dali People’s Hospital were discussed,so as to improve the understanding of MODSE patients with geriatric syndrome. Methods: 245 patients with multiple organs dysfunction syndrome in the elderly(MODSE)were admitted to the Geriatrics Department of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture People’s Hospital from January 1,2020 to December 31,2020 were selected. The general elderly group(≥65 years old and <80 years old)and the elderly group(≥80 years old)were divided into two groups for retrospective analysis. The comprehensive geriatric assessment was used to systematically investigate the distribution and composition of geriatric syndromes and organ disorders in the two groups. The influencing factors of MODSE in two age groups were analyzed by logistic regression equation.Results:1.Comparison of general date between the two groups: The proportion of male patients, and C reactive proteinthe age of the oldest-old group(≥80 years old)were higher than those of the ordinary elderly group(≥65 years old and <80 years),BMI value was lower than that of the ordinary elderly group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of comorbidity and organ disorders between the two groups:chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, coronary heart disease, cardiac insufficiency, cerebrovascular disease, chronic renal insufficiency and osteoporosis were more common in the elderly group(P < 0.05);The involvement of 2 organs in the common senile group was significantly higher than that in the old group, while the involvement of 4 organs in the old group was higher than that in the common senile group(P < 0.05).3.Comparison of geriatric syndrome between the two groups: fthenia, sarcopenia, malnutrition, dysphagia, visual impairment, hearing impairment, sleep disorder, pressure ulcer, fall risk and cognitive dysfunction were more common in the elderly group(P < 0.05).4.Multi-factor logistic regression analysis: Combined with frailty, sarcopenia, malnutrition, fall risk, pressure sores, and cognitive impairment were considered to be independent risk factors for elderly MODSE patients, among which cognitive impairment was the most influential independent risk factor for elderly MODSE patients(OR=15.188,95%CI 4.104-44.219,P<0.01).The others were sarcopenia(OR=9.969,95%CI1.719-47.099,P=0.012),asthenia(OR=8.720,95%CI1.758-35.791,P=0.010),pressure ulcer(OR=6.752,95%CI1.102-16.82,P=0.043),falls(OR=1.776,95%CI1.104-30.304,P=0.043),malnutrition(OR=5.457,95%CI1.232-16.303,P=0.025).Conclusions:1.The number of common diseases, organ involvement and senile syndrome were more in elderly patients with MODSE,but the overall distribution was higher in the elderly group than in the ordinary elderly group.2.Combined with frailty, sarcopenia, malnutrition, fall risk, pressure sores, and cognitive impairment, these factors were considered to be independent risk factors for elderly MODSE patients, among which cognitive impairment was the most influential independent risk factor for elderly MODSE patients.
