Study On The Clinical Efficacy Of Acute Severe Radiation Dermatitis By External Chinese Medicine Treatment

Objective:By evaluating the general condition of patients,functional status score(KPS score),radiographic dermatitis degree grading(RTOG),pain numerical score(NRS)and other indicators,we evaluate the clinical treatment effect of the self-developed Chinese medicine formula(tentatively named "clearing heat and dispelling stasis powder")for the external treatment of acute severe radiographic dermatitis.This formula can be used to promote blood circulation and eliminate blood stasis,and to dry dampness and astringent sores for the treatment of sores caused by "fire toxicity",and to explore an effective treatment method for clinical practice that takes into account "simplicity","convenience",and "inexpensiveness".Methods:A randomized controlled study method was used to divide 60 malignant tumor patients with acute severe radiation dermatitis after radiotherapy into 30 cases in the observation group(clearing heat and dispelling stasis powder)and 30 cases in the control group(triethanolamine cream).In the observation group,heat-clearing and stasis-eliminating powder was applied uniformly to the skin injury in the irradiated field once every 2 days for 14 days;in the control group,triethanolamine cream was applied uniformly to the skin injury in the irradiated field twice daily(interval >8h)for 14 days,and the functional status score(KPS score),radiolucent dermatitis degree grading(RTOG),pain numerical score(NRS),treatment effectiveness,safety evaluation index.Results:The total effective rate of patients in the observation group and the control group after treatment was 83.3% and 76.7%,respectively,and there was no statistical difference between the groups((P=0.530);2.The improvement of dermatitis grading(RTOG)before and after treatment was statistically different between the two groups(P<0.05),and there was no statistical difference between the groups(P=0.625);3.The difference of functional status scores between the two groups after treatment Statistically significant(P=0.005);4.There was a statistical difference in the numerical score of skin pain between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05),and the rank mean value of the observation group was significantly smaller than the rank mean value of the control group(19.40<41.60).Conclusion:1.The efficacy of topical treatment with clearing heat and removing blood stasis powder is comparable to that of triethanolamine cream;2.External treatment with Qinghe dispelling powder effectively reduces the grading level of acute severe radiation dermatitis;3.External treatment with Qinghe dispelling powder significantly improves the functional status of patients;4.External treatment with Qinghe dispelling powder significantly relieves the skin pain in the radiation field of severe radiation dermatitis.
