Prevalence And Risk Factors Of Adult Diabetes Mellitus In Yuxi City

Research Objective: At present,chronic non-communicable diseases have become one of the most important health problems and social development challenges in the 21 st century.They not only cause a double blow to patients in spirit and material,but also bring huge economic burden and social pressure to the whole country and even the world,seriously hindering the normal development and progress of human society.Data monitoring of chronic non-communicable diseases and their influencing factors is an important measure to improve the prevalence of chronic diseases.In order to understand the prevalence rate,awareness rate,treatment rate,control rate and influencing factors of diabetes among urban residents over 18 years old in Yuxi City,this subject investigated the adult population of Yuxi City and other nine counties(cities/districts),in order to master the diabetes disease situation and risk factors of adults in Yuxi city,and provided a reference for the formulation of national diabetes prevention and control policies.Research content: In this study,a multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select eligible permanent residents ≥18 years old from 9 counties(cities/districts)of Yuxi city as the research objects.Questionnaires,physical examinations and laboratory tests were conducted on them to comprehensively and systematically analyze the prevalence rate,awareness rate,treatment rate and control rate of different demographic characteristics.Therefore,the main risk factors of diabetes patients were comprehensively studied.Statistical software was used SPSS25.0,significance test was used X~2 test,and unconditional Logistic regression was used to describe and analyze the prevalence of diabetes and its influencing factors.Results: A total of 12246 people were effectively investigated in Yuxi City.The prevalence rate of diabetes was 12.3%,the awareness rate was 27.7%,the treatment rate was21.8%,and the effective control rate was 15.2%.There was a positive correlation between the prevalence of diabetes and age,and the difference of the prevalence of diabetes in all age groups was statistically significant(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusion: Compared with other areas of the country,Yuxi city diabetes prevalence is relatively low,awareness rate,treatment rate,control rate is relatively high.Thanks to Yuxi City health related departments to actively take a series of measures to control diabetes,effectively curb the momentum of diabetes incidence.However,in view of the severe situation of diabetes in Yuxi City,it is still necessary to strengthen the education and publicity of diabetes related knowledge to the whole population and continuously improve the healthy lifestyle of residents.We should continue to carry out diabetes monitoring,prevention and control work,effectively improve the treatment rate and blood sugar control rate,and escort the construction of "healthy Yuxi".
