| Objective: By comparing and observing the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture therapy and oral western medicine therapy in treating functional constipation(qi stagnation type),this paper analyzes the difference of clinical efficacy between abdominal acupuncture therapy and oral western medicine therapy, further explores the mechanism of abdominal acupuncture in treating functional constipation(qi stagnation type),and proves that abdominal acupuncture therapy can alleviate constipation symptoms, reduce recurrence, improve patients’ quality of life, provide a safe, effective and feasible scheme for treating functional constipation with qi stagnation type, and provide a scientific scheme for abdominal acupuncture in treating constipation with qi stagnation type. Methods: In this study,72 patients with qi-stagnation functional constipation from the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, the Third Clinical Hospital Affiliated to Changchun University of Chinese Medicine and the Traditional Medical Hospital Affiliated to Changchun University of Chinese Medicine were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table, with 36 cases in each group.During the treatment,5 cases dropped out from the treatment group and 4 cases from the control group.Eventually,31 cases in the treatment group and 32 cases in the control group were completed.Patients in the treatment group were treated with abdominal acupuncture at Zhongwan(CV 12),Xiawan(CV 12),Qihai(CV 12),Guanyuan(CV 4),Tian Shu(),Shangfengshi(RH)and Xiafengshi(LH).The treatment was performed once every other day,for three times and resumed after two days of rest. The total treatment duration was four weeks. The control group was orally administrated with lactulose oral solution once a day for a total of 4 weeks.Ask the patient to have a regular rest during the treatment period, pay attention to diet, and form a healthy living habit.Do not take other drugs with constipation effect without authorization during the treatment period.Patients in the two groups were followed up four weeks after the end of treatment. The symptom scores and quality of life(PAC-QOL)of constipation were observed before treatment, after treatment and during follow-up visit, and statistical analysis was performed. The effectiveness and safety of abdominal acupuncture in the treatment of functional constipation due to qi stagnation were evaluated. Results: The results of the treatment showed that both two groups could improve the main symptoms of constipation and the secondary symptoms such as chest distension and tightness, irritability and irritability(P < 0.05).The effect of the treatment group in improving the main symptoms and secondary symptoms including chest distension and tightness, belching, irritability and anxiety and depression was significantly better than that of the control group(P < 0.01).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the improvement of food intake reduction. The curative effects between the two groups were compared. In the treatment group,5 cases were cured,16 cases had remarkable effects,9 cases had moderate effects, and 1 case had no effect. The cured and remarkable rate was67.74%.In the control group, one case was cured,13 cases were markedly effective,16 cases were effective, and two cases were ineffective. The cured and markedly effective rate was 43.75%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).During the follow-up visit, there was no significant difference in the symptoms of constipation and PAC-QOL score between the treatment group and the end of the treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the curative effect of abdominal acupuncture was stable. In the follow-up visit of the control group, the total constipation scores and PAC-QOL scores were significantly different from those at the end of treatment(P < 0.01),indicating that the efficacy of the control group gradually decreased. In the follow-up visit, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.01),indicating that the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group.During the treatment,no adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Conclusion: This study shows that both abdominal acupuncture therapy and oral lactulose have good curative effects on functional constipation of qi stagnation, and abdominal acupuncture therapy is better than oral lactulose in symptom improvement and long-term curative effect. |
