Objective: Through clinical observation, the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Huadu Chushi decoction in the treatment of postoperative edema of mixed hemorrhoids(damp-heat pouring downward type)were objectively evaluated, and clinical drugs were enriched. Methods: The patients come from December 2021 to December 2022 in the treatment area of the Anal and Intestinal Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who underwent external peeling and internal ligation of mixed hemorrhoids.Using the method of random number table, the patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into a control group of 36 cases and a treatment group of 36 cases. Both groups were given routine treatment after surgery. The control group was given Calcium dobesilate tablets orally on the basis of routine treatment, while the treatment group was given modified Huadu Chushi decoction flavored oral treatment on the basis of routine treatment. The two groups of patients began taking medication on the first day of postoperative edema, and continued to take medication for ten days.On the first, fifth, and tenth days of postoperative treatment, the symptoms of postoperative anal edge edema and pain in the two groups were observed, and scores were recorded. The symptom scores of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Finally, statistical data were analyzed using SPSS software to evaluate the clinical treatment effect of modified Huadu Chushi decoction on postoperative anal edge edema of mixed hemorrhoids(damp-heat pouring downward type). Results: There were 68 effective cases in the actual observation, and in the treatment group, there were 34 cases, among them,9 cases were cured,13 cases were significantly effective,9 cases were effective, and 3 cases were ineffective, with a total effective rate of91.18%.In the control group, there were 34 cases in total,of which 3 cases were cured,7cases were significantly effective,17 cases were effective, and 7 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 79.41%.1.There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of the age, gender, course of disease, number of incisions, stage of internal hemorrhoids, total score before treatment, score before edema treatment,or score before pain treatment(P>0.05).2.Edema score: Before treatment and on the first day of treatment, there was no significant difference in the edema symptom score between the two groups, which was not statistically significant(P>0.05);on the 5th and 10 th days after treatment, the edema score of the two groups was different, both of which were statistically significant(P<0.05),the effect of reducing edema in the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Pain score: Before treatment and on the first day of treatment, there was no significant difference in pain symptom score between the two groups(P>0.05);on the 5th and 10 th days after treatment, the pain score of the two groups was different, both of which were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total score of symptoms after treatment, the score after treatment of edema symptoms, and the score after treatment of pain symptoms of the two groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05);In terms of overall efficacy, the treatment group was better than the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion: Modified Huadu Chushi decoction can effectively relieve edema and pain on postoperative anal border edema of mixed hemorrhoids(damp-heat pouring downward type). There are no obvious drug allergies and other adverse reactions during the treatment, and the safety is high, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
