Objective: In this study, children with infectious mononucleosis(IM)were compared with healthy children and were analyzed for the absolute count of EB(Epstein Barr,EB)viral load and total T lymphocyte(CD3+),helper/induced T lymphoid(CD3+CD4+),suppressive/cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CD3+CD8+),B lymphocyte(CD19+),Relationship between changes in immune function in NK cells(CD16+CD56+).Methods: A total of 100 children diagnosed with IM in Changchun Children’s Hospital from September 2019 to October 2022 with laboratory tests consistent with EBV infection were selected as the observation group, and a total of 30 healthy children who underwent physical examination in Changchun Children’s Hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. The objective data of age, gender and lymphocyte immune function of the two groups were compared, and the Epstein-Barr viral load of children with IM was compared with their absolute lymphocyte counts by Pearson correlation analysis.According to whether the data of each group satisfies the normal distribution,one-way ANOVA or nonparametric test is selected to compare the measurement data between groups.Results:1.Age and gender: there was no significant difference between the observation group and the control group,(P>0.05).2.In terms of absolute count of five kinds of lymphocytes: the difference between the observation group and the control group was statistically significant(P <0.05).3.EBV-DNA concentration was not correlated with the age and gender of the observation group(P >0.05).4.There was a correlation between EBV-DNA concentration and the absolute count of five lymphocytes in the observation group(P <0.01),among which the absolute count of total T lymphocytes(CD3+),the absolute count of inhibitory/cytotoxic T lymphocytes(CD3+CD8+),the absolute count of NK cells(CD16+CD56+),and the absolute count of helper/induced T lymphocytes(CD3+CD4+)and the absolute count of B lymphocytes(CD19+)were negatively correlated.Conclusion:1.There are slightly more children with IM in men than in women, and the age of children is mostly under 6 years old.2.IM the EBV load of children is not affected by gender or age.3.There is a correlation between EBV infection with different loads and lymphocyte immune function in children with IM;EBV-DNA concentration was positively correlated with absolute total T lymphocyte(CD3+),suppressed/cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CD3+CD8+),NK cell(CD16+CD56+)absolute count, and EBV-DNA concentration was negatively correlated with absolute helper/induced T lymphocyte(CD3+CD4+)count and absolute B lymphocyte(CD19+)count. |
