Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Gui Zhi Ling Ze Tang plus and minus formula in the treatment of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type prostatic hyperplasia,to further clarify its effectiveness and to provide a basis for the promotion of the formula in clinical application;to provide clinical data to clarify the mechanism of action of the efficacy of Chinese medicine. Methods:According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,68 patients eligible for BPH with kidney deficiency and blood stasis were collected from the outpatient clinic of the Department of Gynecology/Urology of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was treated with tamsulosin hydrochloride extended-release capsule+Gui Zhi Ling Ze Tang plus reduction formula, while the control group was treated with tamsulosin hydrochloride extended-release capsule+retention of urine capsule for 8 weeks. The changes in the International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),Quality of Life Score(QOL),Residual Urine Volume(RUV)and Chinese Medicine Symptom Score before and after treatment were observed and analyzed to evaluate the effect of Gui Zhi Ling Ze Tang Plus and Minus formula on the treatment of prostate hyperplasia with kidney deficiency and blood stasis.Result:1.Comparability:Before treatment, there was no significant difference in age, duration of disease, severity of BPH symptoms,International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),residual bladder urine volume(RUV),quality of life score(QOL)and Chinese medicine evidence score between the two groups(P>0.05),and the clinical observation randomized controlled study was established.2.Effectiveness:A total of 68 patients were enrolled in this trial and a total of 65 cases were completed,of which 1 case was detached in the treatment group;33 cases were completed and 4 cases were ineffective in treatment, with a total effective rate of 87.88%;2 cases were detached in the control group,32 cases were completed and 5 cases were ineffective in treatment, with a total effective rate of 84.38%.After treatment the patients in both groups showed a significant reduction in International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),residual urine volume(RUV),quality of life score(QOL),TCM symptom score and syndrome comprehensive efficacy compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the comparison of IPSS,RUV,QOL and syndrome comprehensive efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that the efficacy between the two groups The efficacy of the two groups was comparable. The TCM symptom scores of the treated patients in both groups were lower than before, and the difference was significant(P<0.05),and the difference was significant(P<0.05)when comparing between the two groups, indicating that the treatment group could improve the TCM symptoms to a greater extent compared with the control group.3.Safety:During this study, there were no significant abnormalities in vital signs, blood and urine routine, liver and kidney function in all patients before and after treatment, and there were no significant allergic reactions or serious adverse reactions during the treatment process. Conclusion:This study shows that Gui Zhi Ling Ze Tang with addition and subtraction combined with Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Extended Release Capsules achieved better clinical efficacy in the treatment of prostatic hyperplasia(evidence of kidney deficiency and blood stasis),but Gui Zhi Ling Ze Tang has obvious advantages in the improvement of TCM symptoms(difficulty in urination, urinary frequency, lumbar and knee weakness, mental discomfort, less abdominal distension, etc.)with a higher safety profile and can be clinically promoted.
