Treatment Of Erectile Dysfunction Due To Qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis With Self-formulated Formula For Promoting Qi And Activating Blood Circulation Clinical Efficacy Of The Formula

Objective:Observation of clinical efficacy of self-developed formula to benefit Qi and activate Blood in the treatment of patients with Erectile Dysfunction(ED)due to Qi deficiency and Blood stasis and Blood stasis.Methods:Seventy-two ED patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis were evidenced who attended the urological male outpatient clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine/Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2021 to December 2022 were selected.These patients were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group of 36 cases each.The treatment group received oral treatment with self-prepared Yi Qi and Blood Invigorating Fang,while the control group was given oral treatment with Shu Gan Yi Yang Capsules.In addition,both groups were given oral treatment with a small dose(5 mg)of Tadalafil for a course of treatment for four weeks.It was observed that The overall efficacy,healing effect,change in International Index of Erectile Function(IIEF-5),change in Erectile Hardness Score(EHS),and change in Chinese medicine classification scale between the two groups before treatment,after two weeks of treatment and after four weeks of treatment for the International Index of Erectile Function(IIEF)、Erectile Hardness Score(EHS)、the Chinese medicine classification standard scale,and the adverse effects.The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS27.0 software,and the results were to be submitted and discussed.Results:The treatment group shed and rejected 4 subjects and the control group shed and rejected 6 subjects,a total of 62 cases were completed.After 2 weeks of treatment,5 cases were cured in the treatment group,8 cases were effective,10 cases were effective,9 cases were invalid,the healing rate was 40.63%,and the total effective rate was 71.88%;3 cases were cured in the control group,2 cases were effective,9 cases were effective,11 cases were invalid,the healing rate was 16.67%,and the total effective rate was 46.67%,the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,9 cases were cured,12 cases were effective,7 cases were effective,and 4 cases were invalid,with a healing rate of 65.63%and a total effective rate of 87.50%;7 cases were cured,5 cases were effective,7 cases were effective,and 11 cases were invalid in the control group,with a healing rate of 40.00%and a total effective rate of 63.33%,and the effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).In the inter-organizational comparison,it was found that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group after 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.01);the treatment group was better than the control group after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05);the IIEF-5 score was found that there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group after 2 weeks of treatment(P>0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).The EHS scores were found to be better in the treatment group than in the control group after 2 weeks of treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).In addition,the quantitative Chinese medical evidence grading standard score,IIEF-5 score,and EHS score was significantly improved in the treatment group compared with the control group within the group after 2 weeks of treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.01).Adverse reactions:During the drug-taking period,2 cases of dizziness and nausea and 1 case of loose stool occurred in the treatment group,and 1 case of dizziness occurred in the control group,all of the above symptoms were mild and remitted on their own,no other adverse reactions were found.Conclusion:1 Self-developed Yi Qi and Blood formula and Liver Dredging and Yang Capsules both improved erectile dysfunction with Qi deficiency and blood stasis,increased IIEF-5 score and EHS score,decreased quantitative Chinese medicine evidence classification standard score,and improved related symptoms.2 Self-designed Qi and Blood Invigorating Formula was superior to Liver and Yang Capsule in the treatment of erectile dysfunction due to Qi deficiency and blood stasis.
