| The minority group of TCM doctors known as "independent young Chinese medicine doctors" has been focused in this paper.The goal is to explore the role they play in the preservation,innovation,and development of TCM in the modern era.This paper will examine their survival status and spiritual world to illustrate their significance within the TCM community.This paper used the method of combining literature research and fieldwork.During the one-year fieldwork,the daily life of "independent young Chinese medicine doctors" was been observed and had interview with eight doctors who were willing to cooperate.Besides,online articles,published books and questionnaires were collected as reference materials,compared the situation of "independent young Chinese medicine doctors" and who were in the system to show the daily life and spiritual world of "independent young Chinese medicine doctors" as comprehensively as possible.The mainly content of this paper includes:(1)Introduce the group of independent young doctors;(2)Medical practice of "independent young Chinese medicine doctors";(3)Personal growth of doctors in independent youth;(4)The spiritual world of "independent young Chinese medicine doctors";(5)Reasons for the presence of a group of doctors among independent youth.The study of this paper found that(1)The fundamental reason why "independent young Chinese medicine doctors" are themselves is that compared with their peers,they have deep thinking and unique understanding of Chinese medicine and life;(2)Compared with the doctors in the system,the "independent" working environment can satisfy the desire of medical autonomy,and this is the main reason why they choose to practice medicine outside the system;(3)"independent young Chinese medicine doctors" are willing to show their unique charm and personal philosophy,even through some rules to establish a two-way choice between doctors and patients.This method not only divides the patient group with other doctors,but also eliminates some potential conflicts between patients and doctors;(4)"independent young Chinese medicine doctors" also use modern medical technology in medical practice,however,the ideas in diagnosis,treatment and the deeper view of life are constructed by TCM theory;(5)The study in TCM schools is indispensable for "independent young Chinese medicine doctors",but their growth experience shows that establishing a "self-understanding" of TCM on the basis of their personal experience is an indispensable process of becoming an "independent young Chinese medicine doctor";(6)By imitating the ancient mentoring system and establishing associations of traditional Chinese medicine,"independent young Chinese medicine doctors" complement the inheritance path of traditional Chinese medicine within the limits of their ability,besides professional universities.(7)"independent young Chinese medicine doctors" fully embody the development and inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine on the basis of "cultural consciousness",it has certain enlightenment for the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine. |
