ObjectiveBy investigating the influencing factors and syndromic characteristics of children with tic disorder, exploring the correlation between the influencing factors and syndrome type and tic disorder recurrence, and providing reference for the prevention and treatment from the clinical syndrome differentiation and recurrence factors of tic disorder recurrence. Methods:For the children meeting the inclusion criteria,we collected information from gender, age, severity of illness, parental status, feeding style, parenting style, eating habits, lifestyle, and past history, and established a database.Through statistical treatment, the factors of tic disorder recurrence, the distribution pattern of TCM syndrome type and the correlation were analyzed. Results:A total of 157 cases with complete information were collected and the basic information were as follows:1.General situation:(1)This study collected 157 cases,107 males,50 females, male to female ratio of 2:1.The mean age was(10.28 ± 2.45),the mean age of onset was(7.28 ± 2.17),3-7 years(14.01%),122 cases(77.70%),and 14-1 8 years(8.28%).(2)89(56.68% of YGTSS),mild disease,64(40.76%),moderate disease, and 40(4%),and severe disease, including the mean score of mild group(35.23 ± 5.12),and severe group(61.52 ± 7.77).(3)44(28.02%)at 1 year of disease course;95(60.50%)at 1 – 2 years of disease course;and 18(11.46%)during 2 years of disease course.2.Site of recurrence and the distribution of accompanying symptoms:(1)The twitch parts of the recurrent children are mainly concentrated in the eyes, eyebrows, lips and throat voice is the most common: 21 cases of frowning and other symptoms related to eyebrows(13.37%);There were 34 cases(21.65%);25(15.92%),There were 18 symptoms(11.46%);39 cases(24.84%);16 cases(10.19%);4 cases(2.54%)of eyes, eyebrow, lip and throat occurred simultaneously.(2)Associated abnormal behavior: 67(42.67%);18(11.46%);12(7.64%);33(21.01%);22 of inattention + irritability);22(14.01%);3(1.91%)of inattention +irritability;2(1.27%).3.Distribution of related influencing factors(1)Fetal birth and parents The number of first child cases was 126(80.25%),and the number of second child cases was 31(19.74%).149(94.9%).The number of cases of maternal pregnancy(including shock, excessive tension, and taking medication during pregnancy)was 12(7.6%).Ninety-one(57.96%)with father degree or above,66(42.03%)with high school and below,66(42.03%)with maternal degree or above, and 91(57.96%).1 withdrawn case(0.63%);7introverted cases(4.45%);57 peaceful cases(36.3%);and 92 irritable cases(58.59%).6cases(3.82%);63 cases(40.12%);39 cases(24.84%);and 49 cases(31.21%).(2)past history and allergy history 64(40.76%)children with a history of allergy.21 patients(13.37%)had a history of respiratory disease.(3)Living habits 16 cases(10.19%)who liked to eat greasy diet;62 cases(39.49%)liked to eat spicy food;19 cases(12.10%)who like eating greasy and spicy diet;31 cases(19.74%)who preferred electronic products;18cases(11.46%)who preferred electronic products + preferred spicy diet;11 cases(7.00%)who preferred electronic products and liked greasy diet;Daily use of electronic products:83 cases(52.86%)of less than 30min;26 cases(16.56%)in 30 min-1h;46 cases(29.29%)between 1-2h;2 patients with more than 2h(1.27%).psychosocial environmental factors(Study pressure, unclean diet, external feeling, emotional stimulation,overwork)61 cases(38.85%).96 children(61.14%)had received corporal punishment.4.Distribution of TCM syndrome types 89(57%),39(25%),13(8%)of spleen deficiency and liver;12(8%);and 4(2%).5.The relationship between the influencing factors and the TCM syndrome type The correlation analysis showed that the gender, active site, living habits, allergic diseases, respiratory diseases, term, maternity, pregnancy medication, parental education, father personality, corporal punishment, and degree of TCM syndrome pattern were affected(p<0.05);age and shock during pregnancy;excessive tension during pregnancy and mother’s personality had no obvious influence on the distribution of TCM syndrome pattern(p>0.05).Conclusions:1.This study found that the three mild and moderate syndrome, hepatic hyperactivity, spleen deficiency and liver flourishing syndrome, were common. The recurrent sites were mainly eye blinking, but eye blinking is the primary manifestation, and the attack was sometimes accompanied by the symptoms of frowning and lips, and most of the disease were mild and moderate.2.The factors that cause the recurrence of tic disorder are mainly related to the children’s allergic history, course of disease, the degree of illness, living habits(including eating habits and the use of electronic products),parents’ personality, educational background and corporal punishment.3.The child’s gender, tic site, living habits, preference of electronic products, use time of electronic products, allergic diseases, respiratory diseases,full-term,maternity,medication during pregnancy, parental education, father’s personality, and corporal punishment have an impact on the distribution of TCM syndrome type.4.The recurrence of external wind induced syndrome is easy to be affected by allergic history, gender, inattention, spicy diet, use time of electronic products, learning pressure, corporal punishment and other factors. The recurrence of hyperhepatic syndrome is easy to be affected by children’s daily habits of eating greasy, preference for electronic products, parents’ personality, and educational background.Splenic deficiency and liver flourishing syndrome type has some correlation with whether the child has term production. The distribution of sputum heat disturbance type is mainly considered to have some influence on the mothers taking medicine during pregnancy, while the Yin deficiency wind syndrome type is mainly affected by the degree of the condition of children, and also has a certain correlation with the multiple tic sites of children.Corporal punishment can cause five types...
