Dehong Dai ethnic group Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture is one of the main settlements of the Dai ethnic group,and the Dai people have accumulated and created rich experience in disease prevention and treatment in the process of fighting against diseases for a long time.Dehong Dai Dai pay special attention to external treatment of diseases,and many external treatment methods are simple and effective,with unique local and ethnic characteristics.Research objective: This study aims to clarify the historical evolution of external medical treatment in Dehong Dai,refine the guiding theories and treatment principles of external medical treatment in Dehong Dai,summarize the common dosage forms of external medical treatment in Dehong Dai,clarify the treatment mechanism,efficacy,scope of adaptation and matters for attention of each external medical treatment,sort out and summarize the common drugs of external medical treatment,and finally improve the external medical treatment system in Dehong Dai.Research methods: This study mainly adopts the method of combining literature research and field research.Firstly,medical books related to the external medical treatment of Dai people in Dehong and papers of academic value at home and abroad are consulted through relevant databases.Besides,field investigations are conducted in Dehong Zhongdai Hospital,Dehong Prefecture Library,Minzong Bureau,Dai medical clinics,Buddhist temples and other places,and interviews are conducted with Dai doctors and medical workers.Follow the old Dai doctors to learn characteristic therapy,and establish clinical treatment cases with the Middle Dai Hospital and clinic in Dehong Prefecture.Results: The historical development of external medical treatment in Dehong Dai includes the embryonic stage,the dual-use stage,the summary and formation stage and the development and maturity stage.The Dai culture and traditional Chinese medicine culture constantly promote and enrich the external medical treatment system in Dehong Dai from the aspects of theory,medicine and treatment methods.Dehong Dai’s guiding theories of external treatment include "four pagoda and five aggregates" theory,"elegant explanation" theory,"meridian tendons" theory,"harmony between nature and man",etc.Therapeutic principles in clude regulating the four stupas and five aggregates,regulating cold and heat,first resolving the disease,first resolving the disease and then treating it,smoothing the meridian tendons,separating the acute from the acute,treating the internal disease and the external,treating the internal disease and the internal and external,treating the upper disease and treating the lower disease and treating the lower disease,combining static and static,and comprehensive treatment.The common dosage forms of external treatment include decoction,wine agent,drops,grinding agent,oil agent,suppository,powder,pills,tablets,plaster,moxibustion agent,hanging agent,sniffing agent,smoke agent;The external treatment methods recorded in the literature and used by the folk include sleeping medicine therapy,dressing therapy,fumigation therapy,medicated bath therapy,rubbing therapy,tendons therapy,bone grafting therapy,prickling medicine therapy,sitting medicine therapy,acupuncture therapy,scraping therapy,hanging pot therapy,sniffling therapy,moxibustion of deer fire and grass spot therapy,wearing and hanging disease prevention method,smoking and ironing method;There are significant differences between acupuncture in Dai medicine and acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine,between acupuncture in Dai medicine and massage in Chinese medicine,between moxibustion in musk deer and grass in Dai medicine and moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine.There are significant differences in guiding theory,treating disease,operating mode,and so on.All have their own advantages and characteristics.The commonly used drugs of external treatment included plant drugs and animal drugs,and the plant drugs included 93 families including mulberry,Compositae,ginger,nettle,Dendrobiaceae,ranunculaceae,more than 300 species,and 8 species of animal drugs.Conclusion: Dehong Dai has a long history of external medical treatment.After thousands of years of development and evolution,a complete system of the ory and practice has been formed.The rich drug resources in Dehong area provide abundant drug sources for Dai medical and external treatment system.The rich dosage forms and various external treatment methods have local and ethnic characteristics,fully demonstrating the wisdom of the Dai people.
