Objective:By observing the clinical efficacy of acupuncture inducing yin from yang method in treating primary hemifacial spasm,it provides a new treatment idea and method for acupuncture in treating primary hemifacial spasm. Methods:The 72 patients with primary hemifacial spasm who met the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into a test group and a control group by SPSS 25.0,the control group received conventional acupuncture, the experimental group received inducing yin from yang method acupuncture, the control group received conventional acupuncture(The acupuncture points are selected with reference to the prescription of the10 th edition of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy for facial muscle spasms of the deficiency wind internal movement type);the experimental group received inducing yin from yang method acupuncture,The order of acupuncture is to first pierce the Shenmai(BL 62)and Hegu(LI 4),then the Zhaohai(KI 6)and Taichong(LR 3).All patients in two groups were treated for 6 consecutive days with 1 day of rest,1 time/day,30minutes/time,for 1 course of treatment, and a total of 4 courses of treatment. The changes in the Cohen Albert hemifacial spasm intensity grading criteria,Penn hemifacial spasm frequency grading criteria, quality of life score for hemifacial spasm(HFS-8 scale)and Beck depression inventory were observed before and after treatment to evaluate the clinical efficacy of inducing yin from yang method acupuncture in treating primary hemifacial spasm. The data from this subject were counted using SPSS 25.0 software, with P<0.05 being the criterion for a statistically significant difference. Results:A total of 72 patients were included in this trial,67 patients completed the clinical trial observation,5 patients did not complete,2 patients fell off in the test group and 1 patients was excluded and 2 patients fell off in the control group.1.There was no significant difference in the basic data between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Objective indicators:(1)Cohen Classification: before treatment, there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, both groups improved compared to before treatment(P<0.01),and the test group improved significantly compared to the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.(2)Penn Classification: before treatment, there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, both groups improved compared to before treatment(P<0.01),and the test group improved significantly compared to the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.(3)HFS-8 scale: before treatment, there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, both groups improved compared to before treatment(P<0.01),and the test group improved significantly compared to the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.(4)The BDI Scale: before treatment, there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, both groups improved compared to before treatment(P<0.01),and the test group improved significantly compared to the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.3.Clinical therapeutic effect:The total effective rate was 88.24% in the trial group and 66.67% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Acupuncture can improve the intensity and frequency of spasticity in patients with primary hemifacial spasm, and both have a certain degree of safety, inducing yin from yang method acupuncture being more effective.2.Both inducing yin from yang method acupuncture and conventional acupuncture can improve the anxiety symptoms and quality of life of patients with primary hemifacial spasm, but the effect of inducing yin from yang method acupuncture is more obvious.
