Clinical Study Of Yiwei Decoction In Treating Lack Of Stomach Yin Atrophic Gastritis

Objective: The purpose of this study is to observe the improvement of clinical symptoms of AG patients with lack of Stomach Yin after application of supplementing Yiwei Decoction,and prove that AG can be cured and reversed by combining modern pharmacological research and Professor Tung Chee-hwa’s "Tongjiang method" as the theoretical basis,and combining with the clinical experience of supervisor Dr.Li Zhigang in the treatment of spleen and stomach diseases.Methods: In this study,80 patients diagnosed with atrophic gastritis with lack of Stomach Yin by endoscopy from October2020 to October 2022,who were seen by Dr.Li Zhigang,Chief Physician of the Specialist Clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Xinjiang Medical University,were selected and randomly divided into two groups,the experimental group was given Yiwei Decoction + Folic Acid Tablets 5mg and the control group was given Folic Acid Tablets 5mg for further study and comparison.During the study,10 patients were detached and finally 70 cases were analyzed to compare the results of TCM symptom scores,gastroscopic efficacy and pathological evaluation of gastric mucosa before and after treatment in the two groups.Results: 1)Improvement of gastric mucosa pathology: the total pathological scores of the two groups were lower after treatment than before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.001).The total score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P=0.007).2)Comparison of TCM symptom scores: The total TCM symptom scores of the two groups were lower after treatment than before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The total symptom score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.004).3)Comparison of clinical efficacy: The difference in clinical efficacy between the control group and the treatment group was compared and analyzed.There was a statistical difference in clinical efficacy between the control group and the treatment group(P=0.011),and the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.Conclusion: For patients with atrophic gastritis of Lack of Stomach Yin,Yiwei Decoction is a safe and effective formula that can alleviate chronic inflammation of the gastric mucosa,reverse pathological changes such as partial atrophy,slow down the progression of the disease to a certain extent,and also provide significant improvement in the patient’s symptoms.
