Clinical Observation Of Chinese Herbal Wet Comperss Combined With Modified Bixie Shenshi Decoction For Treating Erysipelas Of Lower Limbs (Damp-heat Toxin Accumulation Syndrome)

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of Chinese herbal wet compress combined with modified Bixie Shenshi decoction for treating erysipelas of lower limbs.To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Chinese herbal wet compress combined with modified Bixie Shenshi decoction for treating erysip-elas of lower limbs(Damp-heat Toxin Accumulation Syndrome)by observing the changes of main clinical symptoms and signs before and after treatment.Methods:From October 2020 to October 2022,42 patients with erysipelas of lower limbs were selected,who were hospitalized in the Department of peripheral vascular disease of the first Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University.Forty-two selected patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 21 cases in each group according to random number method.Both groups were treated by intravenous injection of piperacillin sodium and sulbactam sodium,and oral Chinese herb decoction Bixie Shenshi decoction as the basic treatment.Observation group was treated with basic treatment and Chinese herbal wet compress,and cold and wet compress was applied for 30 minutes every time twice a day.Both groups were treated for 10 days The changes of clinical symptoms(erythema area,swelling degree,skin temperature,limb function),VAS pain score,white blood cell(WBC)count and serum C-reactive protein(CRP)were observed before and after treatment.To evaluate the clinical effect of Chinese herbal wet compress combined with modified Bixie Shenshi decoction for treating erysipelas of lower limbs(Damp-heat Toxin Accumulation Syndrome).Results: After treatment,the clinical symptoms and laboratory indexes of the two groups improved significantly compared with those before treatment.In observation group,the total effective rate was 95.2%,and the total effective rate of control group was 85.7%.The curative effect of observation group was better than that of control group.There was significant difference in curative effect(P<0.05).After treatment,the improvements of erythema area,swellingdegree,skin temperature and limb function of observation group was better than that of control group,which had statistical differences(P<0.05).After treatment,the pain index of VAS in observation group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the degree of reduction of WBC count and CRP between both groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.Chinese herbal wet compress combined with the modified Bixie Shenshi decoction is effective in treating erysipelas of lower limbs(Damp-heat Toxin Accumulation Syndrome).2.Chinese herbal wet compress combined with the modified Bixie Shenshi decoction can obviously improve erythema area,swelling degree,skin temperature and pain score of affected part,and can improve the function of affected limb.3.Treatment of erysipelas of lower limbs(Damp-heat Toxin Accumulation Syndrome)with Chinese herbal wet compress combined with the modified Bixie Shenshi decoction has high safety,which is suitable for wide clinical application.
