Objective: To investigate the level of home nursing readiness of caregivers of patients with post-stroke dysfunction, analyze its influencing factors, and explore the path and mechanism between home nursing readiness and various influencing factors of caregivers of patients with post-stroke dysfunction. Methods: The convenience sampling method was used to select the caregivers of 363 patients with post-stroke dysfunction in December2021~June 2022 in the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation of a third-class hospital in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as the research subjects. The questionnaire was conducted using the General Information Questionnaire, the Caregiver Readiness Scale for Home Nursing, the Chinese Edition of the Family Scale, the Simple Coping Style Questionnaire and the Social Support Scale.SPSS26.0 was used for data analysis, and statistical methods included: descriptive statistical analysis, univariate analysis,Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and model 6 in Hayes’ SPSSProcess program were used to test the chain mediation effect. Results: In this study, the home nursing readiness score of 363 caregivers with post-stroke dysfunction was(52.25±15.01).The results of univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in home nursing degree scores among caregivers of patients with post-stroke dysfunction of different ages, gender, education level, marital status, occupation, care experience, and medical payment(P<0.05).The results of Pearson’s correlation analysis showed that the home nursing readiness of caregivers of patients with functional impairment after stroke was correlated with social support, positive coping style, and disease uncertainty(r=0.427,P<0.01;r=0.353,P<0.01;r=-0.276,P<0.01);The results of multiple linear regression showed that the main influencing factors of home nursing readiness of caregivers with functional impairment after stroke were gender, occupation, per capita household income, marital status, nursing experience, disease uncertainty, positive coping style, and social support influence, which jointly explained 34.2% of the variation.Mediation analysis:Social support can not only directly affect the home care readiness of caregivers of patients with functional impairment after stroke, but also indirectly affect the level of home care readiness through the mediation and chain mediation of disease uncertainty and positive coping style.(1)The mediating effect value of disease uncertainty was 0.093,accounting for 50.0% of the total effect;(2)the mediating effect of positive response was 0.075,accounting for 40.2% of the total effect;(3)The chain mediating effect of disease uncertainty and positive response was 0.018,accounting for 9.8% of the total effect. Conclusion: The home nursing readiness of caregivers of patients with post-stroke dysfunction is at a medium level, and gender, occupation, per capita household income, marital status, nursing experience, disease uncertainty, positive coping style, and social support are important influencing factors of home nursing readiness of caregivers of patients with post-stroke dysfunction.Social support for caregivers of patients with post-stroke dysfunction not only directly affects their home care readiness, but also indirectly affects their home care readiness through the chain mediation of disease uncertainty and positive coping. Therefore, caregivers should pay attention to the assessment of caregivers’ home care readiness, strengthen health education for caregivers with low home care readiness, alleviate their disease uncertainty, and encourage caregivers to adopt positive coping methods to face care tasks,so as to improve the quality of home care and promote patients’ recovery.
