| ObjectiveBased on the Family Resilience Process Model for Breast Cancer Patients,this study aims to analyze the current situation of family resilience and the differences in general demographic and disease data;To explore the mechanism of hope,family cohesion and adaptability,coping style,and illness perception on family resilience,so as to provide a reference for later development of family resilience intervention program for breast cancer.MethodsThis study adopted convenient sampling method,304 breast cancer patients from a tertiary hospital in Anhui Province from March 2021 to August 2022 were taken as the research subjects.Through General Information Questionnaire,Herth Hope Index,Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale,Second Edition,Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire,Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire,and Chinese version of Family Resilience Assessment Scale to investigate the related research variables of breast cancer patients.SPSS 23.0 software was used for statistical analysis and statistical inference,including: descriptive analysis,t test,one-way ANOVA,LSD test,correlation analysis,mediation and moderating effect analysis.The effect test was carried out by Bootstrap.If the 95%CI did not include 0,it indicated that the mediating and moderating effects were significant.Results(1)The total dimension score of family resilience of breast cancer patients was(98.44±9.06),and the item average score was(3.52±0.32);t test and one-way ANOVA showed that the influence factors of per capita monthly income of the family,habitation,disease course,and treatment methods on family resilience were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total score of hope was(34.29±3.18),and the entry average score was(2.85±0.27).The total score of family cohesion and adaptability was(101.66±8.25),and the entry average score was(3.39±0.27).The total score of coping style was(37.89±4.14),among which coping,avoidance,yielding dimensions scores were(14.69±2.67,12.19±2.30,6.01±1.81),respectively.The total score of disease perception was(31.83±5.80),and the entry average score was(3.98±0.72).(2)There were a positive correlation among family cohesion and adaptability,hope,coping style,and family resilience(r=0.328,0.322,0.402,P<0.05).Hope was positively correlated with coping style,family resilience and illness perception(r=0.369,0.390,0.367,P<0.05).Coping style was positively correlated with family resilience(r=0.343,P<0.05).A negative correlation between disease perception and family resilience(r=-0.161,P<0.05).(3)Coping style played a certain mediating effect between hope and family resilience,with an effect value of 0.242,an effect size of 21.82%,and a 95%CI of(1.122,0.384),indicating a significant mediating effect.Coping style played a certain mediating effect between family cohesion and adaptability,and family resilience,with an effect value of 0.084,an effect size of 19.05%,a 95%CI of(0.043,0.133),and the range did not include 0,indicating the existence of a mediating effect.(4)Illness perception played a moderating role in the first half path and direct path between family cohesion and adaptability,and family resilience.The influences of interaction item on coping style and family resilience were(β=0.012,t=2.773,P<0.05),(β=0.020,t=2.228,P<0.05),respectively.95%CIs were(0.003,0.021),(0.002,0.037),respectively,indicating that there was a moderating effect of disease perception,that was,there was a moderated mediating effect.Conclusions(1)The total score of family resilience of breast cancer patients was high,The family’s per capita monthly income,habitation,course of disease and treatment methods could affect the family’s resilience level.Hope and family cohesion and adaptability were to be at a medium to high level,the tendency to adopt a positive coping style was higher than that of a negative one,cognitive dimension score was the highest in disease perception,personality characteristics(emotion,pressure),lifestyle and other causes led to the occurrence of breast cancer.(2)Hope,family cohesion and adaptability,coping style and family resilience were positively correlated;Disease perception was positively and negatively correlated with hope and family resilience,respectively.(3)Hope or family cohesion and adaptability could positively predict family resilience,with coping style playing a mediating effect.(4)Illness perception moderated the first half and direct paths of the mediating effect of coping style between family cohesion and adaptability,and family resilience. |
