Objective:To explore the relationship between impulsivity and emotion, cognitive flexibility and response inhibition in schizophrenia. Methods:This study consists of two parts. The first part is about the relationship between anxiety, depression, anger, cognitive flexibility and impulsivity in schizophrenia.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 243 schizophrenia patients who met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. They included the Self-prepared Demographic questionnaire,Barratt Impulsiveness Scale,Positive and Negative Affect Scale,Positive and Negative Symptoms,Beck Depression Inventory,Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7,Cognitive Flexibility Inventory,State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-2.In the second part, the scale assessment,Stroop task and Go/Nogo experimental task were performed. To compare the reaction time and accuracy of the Stroop task and Go/Nogo in 54 schizophrenic patients after watching neutral, positive and negative emotional videos. And analyzed the correlation between reaction time, correct rate and impulsivity, mental symptom.Results:1.There was no statistically significant correlation between impulsivity and all dimensions of schizophrenia and other variables such as age,age of first onset, and the duration of this hospital stay.Impulsivity and all its dimensions were positively correlated with negative emotions such as anxiety, depression, anger, and negatively correlated with cognitive flexibility and positive emotions.2.Anger,positive emotion and cognitive flexibility of schizophrenic patients have statistical significance on no planning impulsiveness(P<0.01).The regression equation is:no planning impulsiveness=49.612+0.215*anger-0.190*cognitive flexibility-0.473*positive emotion.3.Anger,cognitive flexibility and negative emotions of schizophrenic patients have statistical significance on motor impulsiveness(P<0.01).The regression equation is:motor impulsiveness=16.900+0.425*anger-0.104*cognitive flexibility+0.215*negative emotions.4.Cognitive flexibility and positive emotion of schizophrenic patients have statistical significance on cognitive impulsiveness(P<0.01).The regression equation is:cognitive impulsiveness=53.186-0.251*cognitive flexibility-0.396*positive emotion.5.Anxiety,anger,cognitive flexibility and positive emotion of schizophrenic patients have statistical significance on impulsiveness(P<0.01).The regression equation is:impulsiveness=120.134+0.464*anxiety+0.905*anger-0.551*cognitive flexibility-0.802*positive emotion.6.In Task 2,the one-way repeated‐measures analysis of variance was performed with reaction time as the dependent variable, and the main effect of emotion was significant(F(2,42)=3.167,P<0.05).The reaction time in positive emotions was longer than that in neutral emotions(P=0.015).7.In task 3,taking the Nogo error rate as the dependent variable, the nonparametric test shows that the main effect of emotion is significant(χ2=6.613,P<0.05).The error rate of Nogo was higher in the negative emotions than in the pairwise comparison.8.The negative scale score was significantly correlated with the reaction time of Task 3 under positive affective priming. The positive scale score was significantly correlated with the Nogo error rate of task 3 under the initiation of neutral and negative emotions, while the negative scale score was significantly correlated with the task 1 correct rate under the initiation of negative emotions, neutral emotions, and the task 2 correct rate under the initiation of positive emotions.Conclusion:1.Impulsivity and all dimensions are more vulnerable to the influence of negative emotions and cognitive flexibility.2.Under different affective priming, the reaction inhibition ability of schizophrenia in stable stage is different.Under different affective priming, the relationship between impulsivity and reaction inhibition in stable schizophrenia is different.3.Compared with Stroop task, the response inhibition of schizophrenia measured by Go/Nogo task is more susceptible to negative emotions.4.Negative symptoms of schizophrenia were more associated with inhibition of response than positive symptoms.
