ObjectiveInvestigate the current status of family resilience in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients, and explore and analyze the influencing factors of family resilience in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients.Explore the correlation between family resilience and individual, family, and social scales.Explore the pathways of disease selfefficacy, social support, and family care in the relationship between coping styles and family resilience. To provide theoretical basis for further improving the quality of life and home care of peritoneal dialysis patients.MethodThis study is a cross-sectional study using convenience sampling to investigate 351 patients undergoing maintenance peritoneal dialysis at a tertiary A general hospital in Sichuan Province from February to July 2022.The survey tools include: general demography data, simplified family resilience assessment scale in Chinese, medical coping style questionnaire, chronic disease management self-efficacy scale, social support assessment scale, and family care index measurement scale.Using Excel for data organization,SPSS.27 analysis, and AMOS to construct a structural model.Statistical methods include descriptive analysis,t-test,single factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and mesomeric effect analysis to explore the relationship between variables.Results(1)The total score of family resilience in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients was(96.98 ± 7.15).The scores for the three dimensions are:(70.02 ± 5.30)for family communication and problem-solving,(8.54 ± 1.26)for utilizing social resources,and(18.42 ± 1.66)for maintaining a positive outlook.(2)The scores of family resilience were approximately normal distribution. The single factor results showed that there were statistically significant differences in marital status, religious belief, family income, self personality assessment, dialysis methods, and daily dialysis frequency(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that extroversion, religious beliefs,self-efficacy,coping styles, and family care index had a statistically significant impact on family resilience in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients(P<0.05).(3)According to Pearson correlation analysis, there is a positive correlation between family resilience and chronic disease self-efficacy,face-to-face coping style, social support, and family care in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients(P<0.05),with correlation coefficients of r=0.289,0.202,0.279,and 0.250;There is a negative correlation between family resilience and yielding coping style in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients(P<0.05),with a correlation coefficient of r=-0.181;There is no significant correlation with avoidance coping styles.(4)The structural equation model shows that the indirect effect size value of chronic disease management self-efficacy between coping style and family resilience is-0.073,95% CI does not include 0,and the mesomeric effect is significant; The indirect effect size value of social support family care chain between coping style and family resilience is-0.032,95% CI does not include 0,and the mesomeric effect is significant..Conclusion(1)The family resilience of maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients is at a moderate level, and it is necessary to improve the family resilience level of the peritoneal dialysis population.(2)Religious beliefs, marital status, annual family income,self-assessment of personality, dialysis methods, daily dialysis frequency,self-efficacy in disease management, and family care are factors that affect family resilience.(3)Social support, disease management self-efficacy,family care, and face-to-face coping styles are positively correlated with the level of family resilience in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients; The yielding coping style is negatively correlated with family resilience in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients.(4)The coping style can have an impact on family resilience through the multiple chain mediating effects of disease management self-efficacy,social support family care. |
