Objective: The objective of this thesis was to construct a theoretical model of nursing students’ online learning satisfaction,analyze influencing factors,investigate the mechanisms of each factor,and provide academic reference for future research on improving nursing students’ online learning satisfaction.Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey.Data was collected via Questionnaire Star platform.Based on the technology satisfaction model(TSM),perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were direct influencing factors of online learning satisfaction.According to network learning influencing factors model and learning style theory,technical system quality,instructor quality,course quality and VARK learning style were introduced as external variables of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use.A model with 10 variables was constructed and verified by structural equation model(SEM).The fit of the model across nursing students with different educational backgrounds was examined via multi-group SEM analysis.Results: A total of 1745 valid questionnaires were included in the data analysis.The mean age of the participants was 22.04(SD=3.95),with female being 75.9%.Undergraduates outnumbered junior college students with proportion being 61.8% and38.2% respectively.The results indicated that perceived usefulness(β=0.758,P<0.001)and perceived ease of use(β=0.171,P < 0.001)both had a direct positive influence on online learning satisfaction.Perceived ease of use had a direct effect on the perceived usefulness(β=0.305,P < 0.001).Course quality,technical system quality,instructor quality and visual style all have positive effects on perceived ease of use.Furthermore,Course quality also affected online learning satisfaction via perceived usefulness.The model explained a total of 77.2% of variance in online learning satisfaction.Conclusions: More than half of the hypotheses were supported.Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were the direct influencing factors of learning satisfaction,with perceived usefulness exerting more substantial effect.Course quality had a positive effect on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use.In addition,technical system quality,instructor quality,and the visual style had an impact on perceived ease of use.Therefore,measures such as providing course of high quality,improving online learning platform,enhancing teachers’ online teaching ability and designing online practice activities should be taken to improve the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness,thus improving online learning satisfaction. |
