Objective : To compare the clinical efficacy of combining Long-term Scalp Acuptuncture with Xingnao Yizhi Decoction on patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI),to explore the effective treatment plan and possible mechanisms of PSCI,and to select the optimal plan for the treatment of PSCI,in order to provide a more reliable theoretical basis for future interventions of PSCI patients using Long-term Scalp Acuptuncture combined with Xingnao Yizhi Decoction. This study will provide a more reliable theoretical basis for the future use of long-term scalp acupuncture combined with Xingnao Yizhi Decoction in PSCI patients. Methods : Sixty patients with PSCI who met the inclusion criteria in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were enrolled in the study, and the subjects were divided into two groups, the control group and the treatment group, according to the principle of random assignment. Both groups were given the same basic treatment: the conventional Western medical treatment for cerebrovascular disease. The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture +Xingnao Yizhi Decoction, and the treatment group was treated with long-term scalp acuptuncture on the basis of the control group, each group was treated 6 times a week, once a day,for 2 weeks as a course of treatment, for a total of two courses of treatment. The MoCA scale,MMSE scale,NIHSS scale,Barthel scale, serum hs-CRP,and Hcy levels were used to assess the recovery of cognitive function and daily living ability of the patients before and after 4 weeks of treatment, respectively, and the data before and after treatment were analyzed and compared by using SPSS 26.0,and finally the final results were obtained. The adverse reactions presented by the subjects throughout the treatment were also recorded to determine the safety of the interventions.Results1.Comparison of basic data: Before the intervention, there was no significant difference(P >0.05)in the comparison of the general data of the two groups of patients,i.e.,gender,age,and education level, which were comparable.2.Comparison before and after treatment: MoCA scale scores,MMSE scale scores, and BI index of patients in the treatment and control groups improved after treatment, and the differences were significant(P<0.01);NIHSS scale scores, serum hs-CRP,and Hcy levels in the treatment group decreased significantly after treatment compared with those before treatment, and the differences were significant(P<0.01).3.Comparison between groups before and after treatment: before treatment, there was no significant difference in MoCA scale score,MMSE scale score,NIHSS scale score,BI index, serum hs-CRP,and Hcy levels between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,MoCA scale score,MMSE scale score, and BI index in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05),and the NIHSS scale score, serum hs-CRP and Hcy levels in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion1.Long-term Scalp Acuptuncture combined with waking brain puzzle soup and general acupuncture combined with waking brain puzzle soup can both effectively improve the cognitive function of PSCI patients, but the treatment effect of Head point Jiu Liu acupuncture combined with waking brain puzzle soup was found to be more significant.2.Both Long-term Scalp Acuptuncture combined with waking brain puzzle soup and General Acupuncture combined with waking brain puzzle soup can effectively improve the self-care ability of PSCI patients, but the treatment effect of Long-term Scalp Acuptuncture combined with waking brain puzzle soup is more significant.3.The mechanism of action may be related to the reduction of hs-CRP and Hcy levels in patients.
