Objective:By observing the curative effect of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with acupotomy on infrapatellar fat pad injury, and using visual pain simulation score(VAS),knee joint range of motion(ROM)and knee joint function score(Lysholm)to more intuitively show the knee joint situation of patients before and after treatment,so as to provide a new treatment mode and idea for clinical treatment of infrapatellar fat pad injury. Methods:From July 2022 to January 2023,60 patients with infrapatellar fat pad injury(who had been informed of the treatment research project and volunteered to participate in it)who were treated in the orthopedic clinic and inpatient department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were enrolled in the study. They were randomly divided into two groups, namely, the control group and the treatment group, with 30 patients in each group,of which the control group was treated by ordinary acupuncture, five times a week was a course of treatment, once a day,The treatment group was treated with needle knife once a week on the basis of acupuncture.Once a week is a course of treatment, and acupuncture treatment will not be given within 2 days after the acupotomy. Both groups will end treatment after 3 courses of treatment.A special person in charge will make statistics and data analysis and comparison of the three groups of scoring scales before and after treatment, observe the improvement of knee joint pain and function of patients before and after treatment, and evaluate the clinical effect.Results:1.Baseline comparison: There was no significant difference between the two groups in age, sex, course of disease,VAS score, knee range of motion score(ROM)and knee function score(Lysholm)before treatment(P>0.05).2.Comparison of VAS scores: After the treatment, the VAS scores of patients in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment.Overall, the score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).3.Comparison of knee range of motion(ROM)results: After the treatment, the knee range of motion of the two groups of patients was significantly improved. In general, the knee joint range of motion of patients in the treatment group is higher than that in the control group, and there is a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).4.Comparison of knee joint function score(Lysholm)results: After the treatment, the knee joint function of the two groups of patients was significantly improved. In general, the recovery of knee joint function in the treatment group was better than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).5.60 patients were divided into two groups. The total effective rate of 29 patients in the control group was 86.2%,and the total effective rate of 29 patients in the treatment group was 93.1%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.acupuncture and moxibustion combined with acupotomy and acupuncture and moxibustion alone have significant effects on infrapatellar fat pad injury, but acupuncture and moxibustion combined with acupotomy is more effective in treating infrapatellar fat pad injury.2.The treatment of infrapatellar fat pad injury by acupuncture and moxibustion combined with acupotomy can effectively reduce the VAS score of patients, alleviate the pain of patients and improve the knee joint range of motion(ROM)of patients, and can significantly improve the function of patients’ knee joint(Lysholm)and the status of daily life, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
