ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture at Du-vein group points in patients with vestibular migraine by comparing with western medicine(flunarizine hydrochloride capsules)in a randomized controlled clinical study,so as to seek a long-term treatment method with high safety, strong pertinence and better effect.MethodsRandom number table method was employed to divide the 62 patients in this study into two groups: There were 31 patients in the acupuncture group and the control groupthe. The acupuncture group were treated by acupuncture points in the Du vein group. The patients in the control group were treated by oral flunarizine. After 4 weeks of treatment, the score of TCM syndrome scale, score of vertigo disorder scale, score of headache score scale, improvement of the frequency and duration of vertigo attacks, and difference of efficacy and safety between acupuncture group and control group were statistically analyzed and compared before and after treatment. The patients were followed up 12 weeks after treatment, and the recurrence of vertigo in the two groups was observed by comparing the frequency and duration of vertigo attacks, and the long-term efficacy of the two treatments was evaluated.Results1.There were 62 cases included in this study(31 cases in the acupuncture group and 1case shedding);2.In the control group,31 people(2 people shed),a total of 59 data were collected.Among them,30 were acupuncture group and 29 were control group. There was no statistical difference in age, course of disease, gender and other general data between the two groups(P>0.05).TCM syndrome scale score, vertigo disorder score, headache symptom score, vertigo attack frequency and duration were not statistically different between the two groups before treatment(P < 0.05).2.Compared with flunarizine hydrochloride capsule, acupuncture in Du-vein group points group has better long-term efficacy in reducing the recurrence of vertigo and shortening the duration of vertigo attack, which is worthy of clinical promotion.3.Comparison before and after treatment. After 4 weeks of treatment, statistical analysis of therapeutic indexes including TCM syndrome scale score, vertigo disorder score, headache symptom score, vertigo attack frequency and duration comparison was performed on patients between the two groups. After treatment, the scores of TCM syndrome scale, the score of vertigo disorder, and the reduction of the number and duration of vertigo attacks in both groups were improved compared with those before treatment. There was a statistical difference(P<0.05).The comparison between the two groups showed that the acupuncture group improved the above indexes better than the control group.4.After treatment,12 weeks later, the frequency and length of vertigo in both groups had improved from the fourth week, with statistically significant results. The acupuncture group showed a marked improvement in both the frequency and length of vertigo attacks when compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions1.Acupuncture at Du Mai group can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms of patients with vestibular migraine, significantly improve the degree of vertigo and headache, and reduce the frequency and duration of vertigo attacks, which is better than flunarizine hydrochloride capsules.2.Compared with flunarizine hydrochloride capsule, acupuncture in Du Mai group has better long-term efficacy in reducing the recurrence of vertigo and shortening the duration of vertigo attack, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
