More than hundreds of millions of people around the world have suffered from mental disorders at some point in their lives, and 86.8% of those with mental disorders had experienced trauma in childhood.Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD)is one of the common mental disorders, and childhood adversity is also an important inducing factor of PTSD.Therefore, this study explores the mechanism of childhood adversity on post-traumatic stress disorder from several perspectives.According to the cognitive behavioral therapy Theory based on PTSD and the classic Relative Deprivation Theory,it is speculated that rumination and relative deprivation may be the important mediating mechanisms between childhood adversity and post-traumatic stress disorder. Therefore, this study intends to take rumination and relative deprivation as the mediating variables of childhood adversity and post-traumatic stress disorder to explore their effects on childhood adversity and post-traumatic stress disorder. This has certain reference significance for the study of post-traumatic stress disorder. In the first study,a cross-sectional study design was adopted to select 900 secondary vocational students in Henan province.Childhood trauma questionnaire,post-traumatic stress disorder test sheet, relative deprivation scale and simple rumination thinking scale were used for questionnaire survey. The mediating effects of horizontal rumination and relative deprivation on childhood adversity and post-traumatic stress disorder were investigated. The results showed that rumination and relative deprivation played a mediating role in the relationship between childhood adversity and PTSD.In the second study,a longitudinal tracking design was adopted,and394 secondary vocational students were surveyed for the second and third time at an interval of three months using three scales other than the scale of relative deprivation. The cross-hysteresis model was established to investigate the causal relationship between childhood adversity, rumination and post-traumatic stress disorder. The longitudinal mediating effect of rumination on childhood adversity and post-traumatic stress disorder was then examined. The results showed that:(1)Childhood adversity at T1 was predictive of post-traumatic stress disorder at T3;(2)rumination at T1 predicted PTSD at T3;(3)Childhood adversity at T1 predicted rumination at T2;(4)PTSD at T1 and T2 predicted rumination at T2 and T3.(5)Rumination has a longitudinal mediating effect between childhood adversity and post-traumatic stress disorder.
