Objective:The purpose of this study was to explore the clinicopathological features and prognosis of colorectal cancer with chronic schistosomiasis(CRCS~+),and to explore the possible causes.Methods:1.This study collected 145 patients with colorectal cancer diagnosed in Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from January 2010 to December 2019.The postoperative pathology showed that schistosomiasis were collected.145 colorectal cancer patients without schistosomiasis(CRCS~-)were randomly matched according to TNM stage and tumor location.The clinicopathological data were analyzed retrospectively.2.Eosinophil count,CD8+T lymphocyte count,tumor microvascular density and collagen ratio between the two groups were analyzed by immunohistochemistry.Results:1.Compared with CRCS~-patients,CRCS~+patients are more male and more common in patients of high age.TNM stage I and II accounts for a higher proportion(52.43%vs.64.83%).2.The average values of total protein and albumin in CRCS~+were lower than those in CRCS~-.The average values of total bilirubin,direct bilirubin,alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase were higher than those in CRCS~-(P<0.05).3.Compared with CRCS~-,CRCS~+had lower overall survival time.And analysis showed that schistosomiasis was an independent risk factor for the prognosis of colorectal cancer.4.Immunohistochemical analysis showed that compared with CRCS~-,CRCS~+had lower content of intratumoral and peritumoral CD8~+T lymphocytes,more intratumoral and peritumoral CD34~+microvessels and higher proportion of intratumoral collagen protein(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Compared with CRCS~-patients,CRCS~+patients have a higher proportion of men,more patients in the higher age group,and a higher proportion of TNM stage I and II;and CRCS~+patients have more severe liver function impairment.2.CRCS~+have lower overall survival time;Schistosomiasis is an independent risk factor for colorectal cancer.3.The content of CD8~+T lymphocytes in CRCS~+is lower,the density of tumor microvessels is higher,and the stiffness of extracellular matrix is higher.CD8~+T lymphocyte count and CD34+microvascular density in tumor center were independent risk factors for prognosis of colorectal cancer. |
