Objectives: To describe the situation and influencing factors of women’s co-parenting within 6 months postpartum, and to explore the effect of co-parenting intervention based on co-parenting theory on exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: Cross-sectional investigation stage: From May to June 2021,a questionnaire survey was conducted among women who received postpartum care in a community health service center in Changsha within6 months after giving birth, and analyzed the data.Quasi-experimental study stage: From July to September 2021,couples within 7 days postpartum were recruited in the obstetric inpatient department of a tertiary hospital in Changsha City.A total of 30 couples were recruited in the intervention group and 30 couples in the control group, and baseline data were collected.24 couples in the intervention group completed all surveys, and 24 couples in the control group completed all surveys. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS26.0.Results:(1)Cross-sectional survey: A total of 133 questionnaires were distributed and 133 were recovered, with a recovery rate of 100%.It was found that:(1)The co-parenting perception score within 6 months postpartum was(40.00±8.57),the breastfeeding self-efficacy scale score was(45.97±17.54),the depressive scale score was(3.56±4.44),and the anxiety scale score was(2.67±3.89).(2)In the univariate analysis, and the score of co-parenting perception were significantly different between subgroups of maternal leave duration(P<0.05),and the score of co-parenting perception was significantly different between sub-groups of pregnancy times(P<0.05).(3)In multivariate analysis, maternal leave duration and pregnancy times entered the regression equation.(2)Quasi-experimental study: A total of 48 couples completed the study, including 24 couples in the intervention group and 24 couples in the control group. The control group was given routine health education, and the intervention group was given co-parenting intervention on the basis of the control group for 4 weeks. The results showed that:(1)There was a time effect and an interaction effect on the perception of co-parenting scores of the primiparas mother in the two groups(P<0.05),and the perception of co-parenting score of the intervention group(46.83±6.13)after 3 months postpartum was higher than the control group(41.92±3.82),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)There was a statistically significant difference in the rate of exclusive breastfeeding between the two groups after 3 months postpartum(70.8%vs52.1%)(P<0.05).(3)There was significant difference in the depressive scale scores of the intervention group at 1 month and 3 months postpartum(P<0.05).(3)Satisfaction score:(1)Maternal satisfaction with her spouse’s support in at 1 month and 3 months after delivery was(87.87±19.81),(94.55±8.50),and the spouse’s satisfaction with the co-parenting intervention was(88.24±19.70),(94.38±9.90).(2)The satisfaction rating of both parties is “very satisfied”,and the satisfaction rating increases with time.Conclusion:(1)In this study,co-parenting perception scores within 6months postpartum belong to general level, and the maternal leave duration and pregnancy times had an impact on the co-parenting perception score.(2)Co-parenting intervention based on co-parenting theory effectively increased the rate of exclusive breastfeeding, and also effectively improved maternal co-parenting perception score over time,as well as improved maternal depressive symptoms.(3)It is suggested to be further validated and generalized in multi-center and large-sample studies in the future. |
