PART 1.The sinicization of the Treatment Expectation Questionnaire(TEX-Q) and its reliability and validity testObjective:To test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the TEX-Q in colorectal cancer patients. Methods:We had obtained authorization from Prof.Dr.Shedden Mora Meike, who is the author of original TEX-Q.The Brislin model was used to translate, back translate, and culturally debug the scale to create a Chinese version of the TEX-Q.In this study, the scale’s validity and reliability were examined among colorectal cancer patients hospitalized in a tertiary care hospital in Nanchang City by convenience sampling between December 2021 and October 2022.Results:1.The Chinese version of the TEX-Q has 15 items,123 colorectal cancer patients were included in the first stage. The entry critical values were6.724~11.771(P<0.001),the correlation coefficients between each entry and the treatment expectation score were 0.589~0.725(P<0.001),the I-CVI is 0.857~1.000,and the S-CVI is 0.935.The six metric factors of treatment benefit, positive impact, adverse events, negative impact, process, and behavior control were extracted, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 86.908%.The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.903,and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of each dimension was 0.842~0.924.The half reliability coefficient of the scale was 0.958,and the half reliability coefficient of each dimension was 0.842~0.938.2.In the second stage,200 patients with colorectal cancer were included, and the results of CFA showed thatX~2/df=1.739,RMSEA=0.061,RMR=0.082,SRMR=0.055,CFI=0.962,GFI=0.922,NFI=0.916,IFI=0.963,TLI=0.946,and the variance fit was good. Conclusion:The Chinese version of TEX-Q has good reliability and validity in colorectal patients, which can provide a reliable tool for evaluating patients’treatment expectation.PART 2.Survey on the current status of treatment expectation of colorectal cancer patients and analysis of related factorsObjective:To investigate the status quo of treatment expectation in patients with colorectal cancer, explore the relationship between treatment expectation and disease perception, and analyze the factors affecting treatment expectation. Methods:A convenience sampling method was used to select patients with colorectal cancer in the inpatient department of a tertiary care general hospital in Nanchang from November 2022 to February 2023,and questionnaires were distributed to them.To analyze the relationship between treatment expectation and social demographic data,disease-related data, and disease perception in patients with colorectal cancer.Results:1.130 patients with colorectal cancer were included in this research. The study showed that the treatment expectation score of patients with colorectal cancer was 6.70±1.160 and the disease perception score was 46.81±5.321.2.The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the four dimensions of treatment expectation, treatment benefit, positive impact, process and behavioral control in colorectal cancer patients were positively correlated with disease perception, and the correlation coefficients r were 0.455,0.472,0.427 and0.364(P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between disease perception and treatment expectation, the correlation coefficient r was 0.380(P<0.01).3.Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in treatment expectation scores among colorectal cancer patients with different disease course, different treatment to be taken, different disease stages and different disease perception(P<0.05).4.The results of the multifactorial linear regression analysis showed that the course of disease, treatment to be taken, disease stage and disease perception were the factors affecting the treatment expectation of colorectal cancer patients.Among them, the patients with second stage and higher disease perception score had higher treatment expectation.Patients with other treatment to be taken(including radio therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy)and patients with 1-year course of disease had lower treatment expectation. Conclusion:The treatment expectation and disease perception of patients with colorectal cancer are above the medium level, which tends to be positive treatment expectation and negative disease perception. In clinical work,it is necessary to pay attention to colorectal cancer patients with different disease courses, treatment to be taken, and disease stages to improve their treatment expectation and disease perception level.
