Translation And Application Of The Dialysis Diet-Related Health Belief Questionnaire

Objective:(1)Dialysis Diet-related Health Belief Questionnaire(DDHBQ)was used to provide a comprehensive assessment tool for dialysis dietary health beliefs for blood purification medical staff.(2)To explore the effect of self-perceived burden,family care and social support on dietary health beliefs of maintenance hemodialysis patients,and to provide theoretical basis for constructing clinical intervention programs to improve dietary health beliefs of maintenance hemodialysis patients.Methods :(1)Chinese translation of DDHBQ : DDHBQ was translated according to the two-way translation model,and the scale was revised through expert consultation and pre-survey.322 maintenance hemodialysis patients in the blood purification center of a tertiary hospital in Nanchang were selected as the research objects to evaluate the reliability and validity of DDHBQ and form the final Chinese version of DDHBQ scale.(2)Path analysis : The general information questionnaire,the Chinese version of DDHBQ,the self-perceived burden scale,the family care scale and the social support assessment scale were used to investigate the maintenance hemodialysis patients,and215 maintenance hemodialysis patients in the blood purification center of a tertiary hospital in Nanchang were selected as the research objects.The path analysis was used to construct the path of each influencing factor on the dietary health belief.Results :(1)Chinese version of the scale : The Chinese version of Dialysis Diet Health Belief Scale has 5 dimensions and 23 items.The average content validity(S-CVI/Ave)of the scale was 0.95,and the item content validity(I-CVI)was 0.86-1.00.The combined reliability(CR)was 0.810-0.908,and the average extraction variance(AVE)was 0.518-0.751.The correlation coefficient between each dimension was less than the AVE square root of the corresponding dimension.Five common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 72.56 %.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fitted well.The Cronbach ’s α coefficient was 0.931,and the test-retest reliability was 0.766.(2)Path analysis : The dialysis diet health belief score of maintenance hemodialysis patients was 75(62,89).Self-perceived burden had a direct negative effect on dialysis dietary health beliefs(β=-0.231).Family care had a direct positive effect on the health belief of dialysis diet(β=0.319),and also had a partial mediating effect on the health belief of dialysis diet through self-perceived burden(β=0.079).Social support had a direct positive effect on the health belief of dialysis diet(β=0.257),and could also partially mediate the health belief of dialysis diet through self-perceived burden(β=0.100).Conclusion:(1)The Chinese version of the Dialysis Diet Health Belief Scale has a total of 5dimensions and 23 items.The evaluation performance is good and can be used to evaluate the dietary health beliefs of maintenance hemodialysis patients.(2)The dietary health belief of maintenance hemodialysis patients is at a medium level,and self-perceived burden,family care and social support are important influencing factors.Clinical medical staff should actively pay attention to the psychological burden of hemodialysis patients,help patients build a good family and social support network to alleviate their psychological burden,and promote them to adopt more active disease coping styles,so as to improve their dietary health beliefs.
