Objective By detecting the eosinophil count(EOS)in peripheral blood, the concentration of serum total immunoglobulin E()and the level of exhaled nitric oxide(Fe NO)in children with asthmatic disease, the correlation and clinical significance of various indicators were discussed. Methods In this study,80 children with wheezing disease treated in the Department of Pediatrics of the Affiliated Central Hospital of Shenyang Medical College between November 2021 and January 2023 were chosen,of which 42 had bronchial asthma as the asthma group and 38 had wheezing bronchopneumonia as the wheezing lung group;30 children with a healthy physical examination served as the control group. In addition, according to the number of wheezing attacks, children with wheezing diseases were divided into two groups: the first group(32 cases)and the repeated group(48 cases). The concentrations of peripheral EOS,serum and Fe NO in each group were recorded.Compare the difference of the levels of each index of the three groups of subjects, and analyze the correlation between the level of Fe NO and the concentration of EOS in peripheral blood and serum .Results1.In 42 children in the asthma group, the levels of Fe NO,EOS in peripheral blood and serum were(25.74 ± 17.32)ppb(parts per billion,ppb)、(0.35 ± 0.14)×109/L 、(192.03 ± 77.39)IU/ml;In 38 children in the wheezing lung group, the levels of Fe NO,peripheral blood EOS and serum were(13.08 ± 9.12)ppb、(0.21 ± 0.70)×109/L 、(133.70 ± 120.51)IU/ml;in 30 children in the control group, the levels of Fe NO,peripheral blood EOS and serum were(7.43 ± 2.46)ppb、(0.13 ± 0.60)×109/L 、(46.04 ± 19.18)IU/ml.A statistically significant difference(p<0.05)was observed between the Fe NO,peripheral blood EOS and serum total Ig E of the three groups, which were all comparable.2.The Fe NO level in the asthma group(25.74±17.32)ppb was significantly higher than that in the wheezing lung group(13.08±9.12)ppb and the control group(7.43±2.46)ppb,with a difference that was statistically significant(P<0.05),However,the difference between the wheezing lung group and the control group was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.The peripheral blood EOS in the asthma group(0.35±0.14)×109/L was significantly higher than that in the wheezing lung group(0.21±0.70)×109/L and the control group(0.13±0.60)×109/L,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the peripheral blood EOS in the wheezing lung group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The asthma group’s serum concentration(192.03±77.39)IU/ml was significantly higher than that in the wheezing lung group(133.70±120.51)IU/ml and the control group(46.04±19.18)IU/ml,,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Additionally,the wheezing lung group’s serum concentration was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).5.The children in the recurrent wheezing group had significantly higher Fe NO(24.98±16.46)ppb,serum (190.73±105.85)IU/m L and peripheral blood EOS(0.34±0.14)×109/L than those in the first wheezing group(10.88±5.71)ppb,serum (124.33±89.79)IU/m L and peripheral blood EOS(0.21±0.72)×109/L,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).6.A positive correlation between Fe NO and peripheral blood EOS and serum was observed in both the asthma group and wheezing lung group(P<0.05); however,no significant association was found between Fe NO and peripheral blood EOS and serum in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion1.Compared with wheezing bronchopneumonia and healthy control children, the levels of Fe NO,EOS in peripheral blood and serum in children with bronchial asthma group were significantly increased.2.The levels of Fe NO in children with asthma and wheezing bronchopneumonia were positively correlated with the levels of peripheral blood EOS and serum ,so peripheral blood EOS and serum can also reflect the levels of airway eosinophils to some extent.3.The concentration of Fe NO,serum and EOS in peripheral blood of children with repeated wheezing are significantly higher than those of children with first wheezing,The dynamic detection of blood routine, serum concentration, and Fe NO level should be performed on a regular basis to lay the groundwork and provide a theoretical foundation for future asthma prevention and treatment.
