In the context of population aging, the age of onset of presbyopia patients is gradually moving forward, and it has become a top priority to prevent and improve presbyopia and improve the work and quality of life of middle-aged and elderly people.Studies have shown that physical exercise with additional visual tasks can regulate the eye muscles and strengthen the contraction function of the ciliary muscle.According to the physical and mental characteristics of middle-aged and elderly people, combined with the action characteristics of Tai Chi,this study designed a 24-style Tai Chi exercise intervention program with additional visual tasks,in which the subjects carried out left and right alternating far-sighted-near ciliary muscle adjustment training during the exercise process, and explored the effect of 24-style Tai Chi exercise with additional visual tasks on presbyopia in middle-aged and elderly people,so as to provide theoretical basis and practical scheme for sports to improve presbyopia in middle-aged and elderly people. Methods:In this study, the literature method, survey method, experimental method and mathematical statistics method were mainly used. The experiment recruited 31 middle-aged and elderly people with presbyopia symptoms and underwent a 16-week tai chi exercise with additional visual tasks.Refractive vision was performed by standard logarithmic visual acuity chart, standard logarithmic near vision table, comprehensive refractometer, and near vision ability assessment was performed using the Near Vision Activity Questionnaire(NAVQ).Data entry using Excel 19 and data analysis via SPSS26.0.Results:(1)There was a weak correlation between presbyopia and naked-eye distance vision and best-corrected distance vision before and after the experimental intervention. There was a high correlation between presbyopia before and after the experimental intervention and naked-eye near vision(r front left=-0.867 r front right=-0.833)and(r back left=-0.877 r right back=-0.872).(2)After the experimental intervention, the subjects’ presbyopia and naked eye distance vision in the left eye were affected by the main effect of sex;Glasses-free near vision,best-corrected distance vision, and naked-eye distance vision in the right eye were not affected by the main sex effect.(3)After the intervention, the subjects’ reading, clear vision, and near-vision satisfaction were all worthy of scores than before the experiment, and the subjective assessment of near-vision ability increased significantly(P<0.05).(4)The degree of presbyopia in subjects after the experimental intervention showed a downward trend(p<0.01),and the levels of naked-eye distance vision,best-corrected distance vision and naked-eye near vision were higher than those before the experimental intervention(p<0.05)。Conclusions:(1)After 16 weeks of 24-style tai chi exercise with additional visual tasks, presbyopia in middle-aged and elderly people was highly correlated with nakedeye near vision.(2)After 16 weeks of 24-style tai chi exercise with additional visual tasks, the presbyopia and naked eye distance vision of the middle and elderly people in the test were affected by the main effect of gender, and the improvement effect of women was better than that of men.Naked eye distance vision in the right eye, naked eye near vision, and best-corrected distance vision were not affected by the main effect of sex.(3)The 24-style tai chi exercise with 16 weeks of additional visual tasks improved the satisfaction of the subjects’ own visual proximity.(4)The 24-style tai chi exercise with 16 weeks of additional visual tasks had a positive effect on presbyopia,naked-eye distance vision,naked-eye near vision and the best corrected distance vision in the middle-aged and elderly people.
