The Clinical Study On The Treating Periarthritis Of Hand-TAIYANG Meridian Type By Gaohuang Medicine Separated Moxibustion Plus Acupuncture

Objective:To compare the difference in the curative effect of acupunc ture combined with BL43,Gaohuang medicine separated moxibustion in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder in patients with hand-TAI YANG Meridian type.To clarify the effectiveness of acupuncture combined with BL43,Gaohuang medicine separated moxibustion in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder due to hand-TAI YANG meridian.Methods:Sixty cases of hand-TAI YANG Meridian type shoulder periarthritis were randomly divided into two groups:30 cases in the experimental group were treated with BL43,Gaohuang medicine separated moxibustion combined with acupuncture,30 cases in the control group were treated with conventional acupuncture,after 3 courses of treatment,we compared the visual analogue scale(VAS)and Constant-Murley score system(CMS)before and after treatment in treatment group and Control Group.Results:1.Both treatments improved pain,shoulder mobility,daily activity,and muscle strength.2.After the treatment,the VAS score of the exper imental group was 1.60±0.77,and that of the control group was 3.07±1.14.The shoulder mobility score of the experimental group was 33.47±2.62,and that of the control group was 31.13±2.56.The muscle strength score of the experimental group was 23.67±2.92,and that of the control group was 22.67±2.86.It shows that BL43,Gaohuang medicine separated moxibustion combined with acupuncture is superior to acupuncture alone in improving pain,shoulder joint mobility and muscle strength.3.The total effective rate of the experimental group was 90.00%,while that of the control group was 83.34%,which indicated that the curative effect of plaster moxibustion combined with acupuncture was better than that of routine acupuncture.Conclusion:The curative effect of BL43,Gaohuang medicine separated moxibustion combined with acupuncture and simple acupuncture on scapulohumeral periarthritis of hand-TAI YANG Meridian type was determined,acupuncture combined with BL43,Gaohuang medicine separated moxibustion has more advantages in pain,arm elevation,shoulder abduction and improvement of muscle strength.
