Objective:To summarize the potential factors affecting the healing of calcaneal incision;to compare and observe the clinical efficacy of modified Wuweixiaodu Decoction applied to the healing of postoperative incision of calcaneal fracture. Methods:In this paper,we counted 60 patients with calcaneal fractures admitted and surgically treated in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2022.According to the principle of random assignment, the study subjects were divided into observation group and control group. The observation group was treated with TCM identification and oral modified Wuweixiaodu Decoction combined with conventional drug exchange, while the control group applied conventional sterile drug exchange treatment. He observed and recorded the postoperative wound healing, laboratory index, postoperative VAS pain index score and hospital stitch removal time in each group, and counted the effect of applying modified Wuweixiaodu Decoction on the postoperative wound healing of calcaneal fracture. Results:A total of 60 patients were followed up,and the wound healing in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group and statistically different(P<0.05).The differences in absolute neutrophil(NE)and C-reactive protein(CRP)between the observation group and the control group were statistically significant(P<0.05).The absolute neutrophil value(NE)and C-reactive protein(CRP)were significantly and statistically significant lower in the observation group at 2 weeks postoperatively compared with the postoperative time(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).The VAS pain scores were significantly lower between the observation group and the control group during 14 and 28 days after surgery, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the pain reduction was more pronounced in the first 14 days than in the last 14 days. The observation group had a significant difference in the length of hospital stay and suture removal time due to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of modified Wuweixiaodu Decoction has a significant effect in promoting the healing situation of the incision after calcaneal fracture, reducing the inflammatory response, alleviating the patient’s pain, and shortening the length of hospital stay.
